Millennium Downtown Abu Dhabi Reviews

This hotel is quite old, and my room had a musty smell that wasn't very pleasant. The facilities in the room were very retro. The gym, though old, was fairly well-equipped, but people from outside would rent it out for dance practice, and their shouting and yelling were quite disruptive. However, when there's an exhibition or a tourist rush in Abu Dhabi, you don't have many other options, so I just made do for three days. On my first day, I even found stains on the bedsheets, which was just unacceptable. For a hotel under the Millennium name, this standard is really low. I guess it might be an older hotel that's been outsourced.

The room smelled really bad, like a foul disinfectant. We switched rooms, but it was only slightly better, still very damp, and the cleanliness was just okay. The location isn't great either, very noisy all around. All in all, I wouldn't recommend it.

The hygiene was really concerning. There was even an opened bottle of drinking water left on the table, not replaced. It's clear that the internal management and operational standards are quite poor. Environment: Average Service: Average Hygiene: Disappointing Facilities: Basic

I arrived quite early just to drop off my luggage, but the first thing I was told after informing them that I had a reservation for that night was that I needed to pay for an early check-in, which I hadn't even wanted. They should have asked before assuming the situation. Also, when I was waiting to check in, another lady arrived and they attended to her first. Then, while I was showering, I discovered that there was no conditioner. I tried to call reception, but there was no answer, so I had to get dressed and go to reception. To top it all off, the people in the room next to mine decided to have a party. They were talking, screaming and laughing so loudly that I had to call reception again at 2 am. I also found the area around the hotel quite strange, with lots of people sitting on the pavement and the street dirty. The room is nice and big but it’s too old and wasn’t that clean. This being said, if I ever return to Abu Dhabi I will not stay there for sure!

When I checked in they gave me an upgrade to a bigger room, which was really nice of them but after we got to the room and it’s was sorting so many things the hot water didn’t work properly, the hand shower and tap didn’t work the technician tried fixing and it was a bit better, than the air-con in the bedroom was a trouble I was so jet lagged that I just slept but when I woke up I realised it was super hot and I asked the staff and they did fix it, but all of this just felt like I’m fixing my apartment 🤣 also cleaning wise they are okay cuz on the last day before the check out it was done roughly, they would keep the toiletries/ towels/ water bottle as per the number of guest, we had to request all of this on the phone. The location was excellent definitely the highlight and breakfast is good has great variety. May be I just expected a bit more attention to detail but the staff was friendly and helpful for sure. They tried their best!

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and always helpful, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The location was also convenient, making it easy to get around. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Lovely place and value for money. We have booked the Millenium on many occasions.

The room is very nice and clean, breakfast also very good and there is a lot of food service for the breakfast

Nothing special, but the room was quite spacious. Breakfast was just average. Transportation was also just average. The facilities were a bit dated, but reasonably clean. The tap water had a strange odor. Capsule coffee was provided in the room. The elevators were quite slow.

Great location with convenient transportation. There's a supermarket downstairs, which is very handy for groceries.

*Check in was fast with Kim, who explained well about the amenities and all. *Location is good, along busy street, lots of restaurants and stores around (currently under renovation around the property. *Room had adequate space, noticeable smell upon entering, smelling old room but looks clean and presentable. * Restaurant had good varieties, nice food. I enjoyed the miso soup. * Outdoor pool, pretty decent but too hot to swim so we used the bathtub inside the room to refresh.

Facilities: The shower head was faulty, and the water pressure was very low. Cleanliness: Generally good, though there was a faint musty smell. Setting: The room was very spacious, and the hotel occupies an entire high-rise building. Service: Average. It took three calls for staff to come up.

The hotel boasts a very central location. While it's an older property, it's clearly well-maintained. We were even given a small suite, which was a lovely surprise. A big thank you to the front desk staff for that! If I ever return to Abu Dhabi, I would definitely consider staying here again.
