This small hotel is literally in the middle of nowhere and you're greeted by the local wooly residents who have full run of the area! It is in a very pretty location by the sea with Deer herds nearby. However, be aware it took 40 mins from a 'main' road (which was small itself) down a single track road, with lots of passing places, to get to it. Fantastic scenery on route, but to go anywhere, it's a long way. If you were just walkers, then I'd say it's perfect, but driving to the next village took nearly an hour on tiny lanes and although the scenery was magnificent, the driving experience took a toll on my nerves! There's nothing to do except walk here and if it's raining, it could get a bit boring if staying more than a couple of days. However, the food was AMAZING! Best food I think we've had for many a year, so worth a trip for a dining experience alone. Staff very friendly, however, some of the younger staff could do with a little more training to bring it in line with the standard of the menu, as although very helpful, we found ourselves regularly asking again for things, as they'd either forgotten or were distracted on route. A bit disappointed with the room as we could clearly hear next door snoring all night, so not a great night's sleep, but it was a good size bed/bathroom, although could do with some updating.
