Middlebury Inn

"It's a wonderful place, a preserved building that is very clean, at a very central location in Middlebury. The price was excellent, and the parking was very convenient. We couldn't get the wi-fi to work which was a pain given that only Verizon works here, and we didn't have hotspots. Very friendly staff, both the female receptionist during checkout and the gentleman during checkin, with his excellent recommendations. But: Be careful with rooms 126-129, they need a good flight of stairs, which was difficult for us, as we were coming from a big road-trip and had many bags. Perhaps the reception should make this clear during the check-in process, we would be very happy to change rooms, but it was too late. Soundproofing is not the best, but I am not complaining as the building is preserved and they can't do much. Finally, a small complaint is that there is no desk to do some work in the room, forcing us to go to cafes.   All in all, I honestly think this hotel is terrific if you are visiting Middlebury and I would 100% recommend it for a ski trip or a tour of the college."

"Delightful Inn in Vergennes. We were in the guest house, set back a bit from the road, which is busy during the day, but deserted at night. Our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast, which we only took advantage of on one of the days of our stay, was delicious. Amy and DJ are warm and welcoming people who clearly care about their guests and the inn."
