Grecotel Villa Oliva
"We recently stayed at Villa Olive in Adelianos Kampos, near Rethymno, and had a very pleasant experience. This charming boutique hotel offers a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in this part of Crete. The staff were exceptionally friendly, smiling, and genuinely welcoming throughout our visit, helping to create a warm and enjoyable experience. The hotel has a lovely pool area, and our room was spacious and well appointed. One particular highlight was the bathroom, which featured a huge shower and plenty of space. Breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of fresh and tasty options to start the day. The only downside during our stay was that the air conditioning in the room was not working effectively. As it was a particularly hot evening, this made it difficult to fully enjoy the room and get comfortable overnight. Despite this issue, Villa Olive is a lovely hotel with great service and a welcoming atmosphere. If you are looking for a good mid-range hotel in the Rethymno area of Crete, I would certainly recommend it."
Alexander Mountain Resort
"Lovely spot in the mountains Great feel to the whole place and great staff . It has its own museum which is always a bonus. I only stayed one night passing through but will definitely pass by again . Great location for exploring the central mountains of the island . Nice little village 2 mins walk"

Rethymno Palace
"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. The buffet was outstanding, offering a wide variety of fresh, delicious, and quality food every day. There was something for everyone, and every meal exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Housekeeping did an excellent job, and everything was maintained to good standard. The staff was professional, friendly, and always willing to help, making our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing experience. We will definitely be coming back!"
Adele Beach Hotel
"We stayed here end of may beginning June as a family of 7.This is a small hotel with one pool and is right on the beech. It only has one restaurant. The food was nice lots of fruit and salad. im a fussy eater but always found something. Very friendly staff the manager can't remember his name was lovely. Christina at reception is a lovely lady very friendly and does her upmost best to sort any problems out. The rooms are very clean, beds are comfy. But if you have 2/3 children it will be a bit of a squeeze. Very quiet on an evening as there is no entertainment but there are lots of bars, restaurants and shops just outside. Over all we had a lovely holiday"
Rethymno Village
"Rethymno Village has a lovely feel when you first arrive, especially around the pool area. It’s genuinely the nicest part of the hotel — the tiles, the outdoor furniture and the whole exterior look recently updated, and it’s a really pleasant place to sit in the sun. In May there was no issue getting a sunbed at all. The food in the restaurant isn’t the biggest selection, but what they do offer is tasty and good quality. The snack bar, though, is very limited — more like a few ham sandwiches, pastries and the odd sausage roll, and nothing at all suitable for vegetarians, which felt like a real gap for an all‑inclusive. The rooms don’t match the standard of the outside areas; they’re dated, and the bathroom dispensers didn’t even include a basic all‑in‑one shampoo/shower gel, which you’d expect as standard. You also only get one key per room, and that key controls the electricity, which isn’t ideal if there are four of you. The location itself is great — close to the beach, shops and everything you’d want nearby — but there was no entertainment whatsoever, which felt strange for an all‑inclusive hotel. The biggest issue by far, though, was the drinks. Only beer and wine are included, nothing else alcoholic, and both the beer and wine were extremely weak, almost like water. There wasn’t even a red wine option, just white and rosé, and the soft drinks were syrupy and tasteless. The staff were friendly, and it is a nice hotel in a good location, but because of the drinks, the lack of entertainment, the dated rooms and the limited snack options, I wouldn’t return."
Alianthos Estate Resort - ex Alianthos Garden
"Our first room for the first night wasn't that great because of the arrangements of our booking agency but on the next day we were offered an upgrade completely for free! We spent the remaining 8 nights in that room and our overall experience was really great! The rooms are very clean and cleaned regularly. There is functional air conditioning in every room. The place itself is also beautiful and close to the beach. But the best things about the hotel are the amazing service and the at least equally amazing buffet food! I've rarely felt such big hospitality as here. Everybody is really friendly and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was one of the best and rich buffets I've ever experienced and there was different stuff every day, even though not everything completely changed of course. We really looked forward to every meal there."
Rimondi Boutique Hotel - Small Luxury Hotels of the World
"Great location, nice rooms (we were treated to a free upgrade). Nice breakfast with fresh orange juice served in the courtyard. No parking in immediate vicinity, but you can usually find a free spot close to the sea. Quality of tea served on the premises could be improved, same for toiletries."
