"Didn’t expect to be staying in a block of rooms which were pretty soulless. Wanted to go into the Hotel bar for a drink but because we didn’t have a meal booked, as wanted to go out to Portreath by the sea for food, we weren’t allowed in the bar for a drink from 6pm, it was cordoned off! so I have no idea what the hotel bar is like. So I feel for the money we paid we didn’t actually get to use any of the hotel. All we wanted was a drink in the bar with the view. I won’t be rushing back."

"Having read some of the farcical reports about this place, I was initially skeptical when it was booked for me for work in the area. However, after meeting Kevin and Sue, I can confidently say those negative reviews are unfounded. We arrived on Sunday afternoon, the day of the Euro Final. Kevin greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome immediately. He showed us to our room, which, typical of a B&B, was spotlessly clean. When we went downstairs, we met Sue, who also made us feel very welcome. We asked numerous questions about the area and received all the information we needed and more. Although it was just a one-night stay for work, I got up early for breakfast and left for work, returning later to collect my wife who had breakfast later. The breakfasts were as good as any we could wish for. In short, would I recommend this place? Yes. Would I return? Absolutely. Thank you, Kevin and Sue, for your kindness and help."

"A lovely welcome as we were greeted at the Bar by Tommy and shown to our room. We went back to the bar and had a drink. The bar offers a good selection of beer lager and wines. The room was clean and tidy and was great for a short stay. The bed was a double with a mattress that was a little soft for us, however that is because we do have a very firm mattress at home The staff were very friendly and polite. Unfortunately due to our stay being on Sunday and Monday we could take advantage of the restaurant as it was closed for these two evenings but the menu looked very nice. We paid for the breakfast for two mornings at £15 per head per day and it was very good. Yoghurt, fruit, warm croissants and cereals were on the table on arrival and then we were offered a choice of cooked breakfast, either a full english, bacon or sausage sandwiches and Scrambled egg with smoked salmon. We had an issue one morning however this was sorted out to our satisfaction. We would definitely recommend St Tudy Inn for a short stopover."
