Stunning views. Service is outstanding. A real gem in Sri Lankan hospitality.

The hotel is in a great location, right by the sea. You can see surfers and swim directly in the sea. The swimming pool in the backyard is also very large, but the facilities are relatively old and the staff speak loudly in the corridor.

The hotel is in a good location, the room is spacious, and fruits are provided. The price of dinner in the restaurant is medium. Unfortunately, it comes with a 10-minute massage per person, but there is only one masseur. This needs to be improved because it rained heavily on the day we arrived and the outdoor swimming pool was unavailable.

Everything is good. The swimming pool is big and clean.

The environment is first-class, it is a good place for a vacation, and the staff are very friendly and enthusiastic! We used the taxi app Pick Me to take a taxi in Galle, and then took the bus to Mirissa. In fact, as long as it is not the rush hour, the conditions of their buses are passable. Much cleaner than India, maybe there will be surprises

We had a wonderful stay at Insight Resort which is a wonderful beachfront getaway with warm hospitality and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. The location is perfect, with a beautiful beach just steps away, ideal for both relaxing and surfing. The rooms are comfortable, offering stunning ocean views, and the food is delicious with a great mix of local and international flavors. We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. We received a cold cleansing towel and a glass of juice on arrival. The reception was very pleasant.  We arrived too early to check in but was allowed to use the pool and / or beach. Our room was ready for us 2 hours early, so we were able to check in. The pool area is pleasant with plenty of sun loungers. The pool was very clean. There is a private beach area, which is used as a volleyball pitch. In my opinion, it would lend itself much better to additional sun lounging area. In the time we stayed, there was no volleyball played, and in fact, the net wasn't even up, so it was wasted space, which was unusable due to the lack of shade. The room was pleasant enough. We had a ground floor room with access to a small private seating area. We could also access the beach and pool from leaving our terrace except it was not possible to lock the door from the outside. It would have been useful if the key worked on both doors. The room was adequately clean and water, tea and coffee supplied free of charge. There was a mini bar available at extra cost. The grounds are kept very tidy and there was plenty of staff around to help with anything you needed. The breakfast is plentiful and a good selection. We were staying over Independence Day and the hotel was putting on a show of ceremonial dance and music, together with traditional Sri Lanka food (buffet style), for additional  cost. We booked a table. On seating at our table the drinks menu was offered but we were told that no alcohol was being served in observation of Independence Day. To have no alcohol was not a problem,  however it would have been good to know that this was the case. The food and selection was good. Sadly the layout of the event hadn't been executed to the best ability.  The act was performed around the pool area, where there was one large table (I later found out that this table was exclusively hotel corporates) all other tables were set up on the private beach/volleyball pitch and couldn't see most of the performance as there were palm trees between the performance and the tables. Also the act seemed to perform for the one and only table set up at the pool area. The performance was mildly entertaining at best. A bonfire had been lit on the beach, and whilst impressive at first, we all then became consumed in smoke and the fire had to be put out. With all that in mind, we wouldn't have booked the dinner. There is a long list of 'don't's, which I understand but feels very no, no, no, no. It would be received kindly to read "we would ask guests to refrain from; " With all that said, the room was clean,  the beds comfortable and the general vibe and atmosphere at the hotel was very friendly. The hotel is in walkable distance of a number of restaurants and convenience shops. A special mention for Melvin,  the Hotel coordinator and our two main Servers;  Sujith and Isuru, who were never far away to help us.  Melvin was extremely helpful and pleasant to c

We stayed here for 2 days & loved every minute spend in this property. Although it's a 3 star property, but over powers many 4 stars as well. Mgr Melvin was very cooperative. He had a YES for everything we said. He arranged a candle night dinner for us on the occasion of our anniversary and it was beautifully decorated on the beach side (photos attached). Chef Iran went out of his way & arranged Indian cuisine for us. It was yummilicious and amazing service done by Shehan and Isuru. He even arranged a bonfire for us. Overall it was a superb experience. All hail to the Manager Melvin and the entire hotel staff. Would definitely recommend everyone going to Mirissa to stay at this property.

Fantastic experience. Insights was located right on an incredible surf break which we watched for hours on our balcony. Good resort facilities for a family - pool, buffet, games, beach volley ball and staff very accommodating. Also offers yoga classes and mediation it was the perfect spot to stay with a family

Amazing middleclass Hotel in the small upcoming town of Ahangama. Located directly at the famous surfspot of „Marshmallow“. The luxury rooms have an overwhelming view on the ocean. Even the standard rooms are beautiful without seaview. The hotel is very clean and all the staff is unbelievable friendly and helpful. Yummy fresh prepared food from the buffet is like a firework for your taste. But best of all for a surfer is that you can check the waves from your bed, grab your board and enter the surfspot directly from the own beach. After surfing you can put your surfboard into a surfrack. If you wanna swim in the ocean, the lovely poolboys will have a look for you because of safety. Nevertheless you have to take care of currents at almost all Sri Lankan beaches, because the open ocean hits the coastline directly. If you really wanna be safe or for kids use the clean pool and play a little bit of waterball. Most of the day you have the hotel and garden for yourself and only sometimes it is busy if the travel groups are there for a short time.

Beautiful location. Lovely staff. Fabulous yoga teacher. Close to lots of activities and restaurants. In house service is excellent. Highly recommended. Also a great spot to base yourself to further explore the southern coast of Sri Lanka.

The hotel was situated on a beach and it also had a good sized pool. The room was very clean, had a fridge and two bottles of water supplied daily, as well as toiletries. The breakfast was excellent, there was lots of choice and it was cooked extremely well. We loved the hotel, but would not book a room on a Friday or Saturday night in the future because of the bar ILOK opposite the hotel which had music blaring and thudding out until the early hours of the morning. We called reception at 2:15 am and they told us the police have been called. Unfortunately the same music began again on the Saturday evening at 6 pm, but when we went down to complain again & went out, it was much lower when we returned a couple of hours later. Our room was near the road and possibly if you had a room at the back you wouldn’t hear it, but this really did spoil 2 nights of our stay. It is not the fault of the hotel, but still very frustrating. If this had not happened I would have given the hotel 5 stars.
