We spent 4 nights here in Early Nov. and we had such a great experience! Our large 1 bdrm cabin was spacious and clean and had room to stretch out on a nice sofa with a coffee table. The kitchen is stocked with all the basics and there is even a really great sounding Bluetooth speaker. We loved the little desk area for plotting our travels in Yosemite. The welcome card has great little QR codes with links to sightseeing, local restaurants, and even a list of all the items you can find in their camp store. There were some vintage Saturday Evening Post magazines from the 60’s that were fun to flip through while sitting on our deck and enjoying a beverage from the adorable little camp store on the property. The little store has such a great curated selection of snacks and beverages and sundries and lots of little items that you might have forgotten to pack! We had beautiful weather (70’s day/40’s night) and we took advantage of the lovely hiking trails on the property and we used the complimentary bikes on the paved pathways that wind around the property beyond the clubhouse. They have several really interesting large sculptures and art pieces scattered around the grounds along the pathways to keep things interesting too! We saw so much wildlife on our excursions (even a cute little bobcat) and at night there was an amazing concert at the intimate little clubhouse music venue! The event was even catered with delicious dinner options and there is a bar with super friendly tenders keeping the party going during and after the show. Everything is really well thought out and organized and the staff are super friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to go back!

There were three of us staying in the room; Two adults and a ten-year old child. When we checked in the woman at the office was quick to tell us she had to put towels in the room. We waited then it took 2 or 3 trips back to the office to finally get 3 towels. Our room had only half a roll of toilet paper. I went to the office and asked for more and she gave more when she gave me the towels. There is no cell phone service and no phones in the room. To talk to the front desk requires walking or driving to the office. The TV didn’t work. We went to get her and she said she’d fix it while we were out to dinner. That never happened. “No signal” was all that shown on the screen. Pushing on all the buttons on the remote control didn’t help. When it came time for showers, we discovered we had no wash cloths. Because the office was closed and we couldn’t find the woman we used the kitchen towel for a wash cloth. The office driveway was gated and a car had parked blocking entrance the rest of the day. At check-in the woman was quick to tell us she was proud she had put clean sheets on the fold-out sofa bed. When the time came for bed, we found one pillow in the closet but no pillow case. Oh well. We had to use one of our t-shirts as a pillow case. On a shelf in the bedroom nightstand was a large ring of master keys for all buildings (?). The A/C doesn’t cool the cottage. It ran all afternoon and the temperature got down to 85 degrees which is better than 95 degrees outdoors in mid-June. We carry our own thermometer. When the sun went down the room lowered to 83 degrees. We opened all the windows and the refrigerator and freezer doors to cool it down to 81 degrees where it stayed all night. The cabin had a coffee pot and coffee but no cream, and no one in the office to ask. To get cream for the coffee in the morning was a 30 minute round-trip drive to the nearest Valero gas station and market. No decaf coffee either, so another drive to Oakhurst. Their Facebook and Yelp pages advertise as “Bed and Breakfast”. That’s not true. Bring your own breakfast or go to a restaurant. We have stayed here in years past several times and enjoyed it, but these incompetencies are probably the result of new ownership and new management. For $ 280 a night you’d expect more.
