The ryokan is located very near the Vine bridge but is quite old looking. The dinner and breakfast are super delicious and is the Japanese style with many small dishes. It was the accommodation with the best dining options throughout my 19 days travel in japan. There is a bathhouse in the ryokan which guests can use. The rooms are all located on the 2nd or 3rd floor, together with the toilet and shower. Room was huge with tatami and can fit in at least 4 person. We were allowed to bring our bikes into the room but we laid them on some cloth to prevent the dirtying of the flooring. Good value for money

Although it is an older hotel, the boss cleans it very well. The room is large and the location is good. It is also close to the temple. The boss is very kind and thoughtful and provides welcome fruits. Thank you very much.

Small ryokan that is a bit dated. The host is very nice and makes every effort. Ideal for pilgrims because of its location

It's a ryokan in name only, but it's probably better to think of it as a private lodging. The room can be locked from the inside, but not from the outside. Anyone can enter your room while you are in the bathroom or bath. There is no safe in the room, and no place to store valuables, so security is a major problem. The toilet is quite far from the room, so I don't recommend it for people who need to use the toilet late at night. There is a Western-style toilet, but it seems to be a septic tank. Only one person can use the bath at a time, so you have to take turns, and you can't take your time and relax at your own pace. The bath water was also lukewarm. It may be a place where pilgrims can stay if they just want to get away from the rain and wind. If you are only concerned about the price and can ignore everything else, it's fine, but I don't recommend it for the average person.

Gorgeous stay at the ryokan - from the moment you arrive until the wave good bye, the stay is very special. Excellent food ( and very accomodating for dietary differences) Had a lovely sunset walk around the area too. Highly recommended by both of us!
