I stayed here for 7 days, the room was lovely and clean. The bed was so comfy. As for the breakfasts every morning, they were amazing !!!! I could not of been made to feel more welcome. Both Cathy and Sandy are beautiful people and so glad I had the pleasure of staying with them. I can’t wait to come back.

Sandy & Cathy are a lovely couple and will make your stay a good one. Rooms are clean, showers hot and the general feel is of owners who take great pride in looking after guests. Lovely breakfast and a warm welcome from lovely people. Thanks guys!

My husband, friends and I were visiting Scotland in the Edinburgh area and stayed at this lovely Cottage, it has absolutely the best hosts ever, the couple running this Cottage welcomed us with a very personable demeanor, clean rooms, a great breakfast to start our day, advise on travel, and directions to sites to visit, if ever in this area we will be back. 5 stars all the way..

Highly recommend! Stay for 4 nights with friends - 3 rooms. Lovely place and lovely people! Very warm welcome, excellent accommodation, clean rooms and comfortable bed, freshly cooked and delicious breakfast, good location. Cathy and Sandy are very friendly and help us with useful information, made some good recommendations of places to go and where to eat. The cottage has it's own private parking at the rear.

The Shawlee Cottage is a convenient place to stay when you have a car as it is a short drive to Glasgow and the surrounding areas. The owners Sandy and Cathy make an effort to have a conversation with you around the breakfast table, and they sure do have stories to share. They make your stay very welcoming.

Fantastic place to stay for Scotland exploration. The cottage is cosy, very clean and with some history. Sandy and Cathy are lovely couple. Their Scottish breakfast is delicious. It was our first visit to Scotland and thanks to Sandy's advices we have seen great places that we would have missed. We will highly recommend Shawlee Cottage to everyone. And we will be back :)
