Mercure Hotel & Spa Aix-Les-Bains Domaine Marlioz

The rooms are large, air-conditioned, clean, the balcony is pleasant (no views on the neighbouring rooms). The park side is more pleasant than the road side (even if the rooms are soundproofed); it corresponds to the pair rooms. A pleasant indoor pool, because left by the clients (who prefer to get in the jacuzzi or the heated outdoor pool). Ageing fitness room (it should be thought of maintaining machines that roll because of the proximity to the spa). Fresh breakfast too repeated (all day absolutely the same); lack of fresh fruit (or too hard or at the end of life, no bananas just apples, kiwis and oranges), no vegetables, The hotel is located in the centre of the city, and is located in the centre of the city.
Golden Tulip Aix les Bains - Hotel & Spa

I had a tiny room in this huge, impersonal hotel. For the price I was expecting a better experience. My room overlooked a very unpleasant looking car park. The canopy below my room was filthy, had rubbish on it and was unkempt. The window frames were mouldy, in and outside the room (see photos). At the restaurant I asked if I could have my meal in my room. They said yes but without specifying that they was an ”eat-out” With the exception of a very helpful and friendly man in the breakfast restaurant, the hotel staff were impersonal and ineffective.
