Hotel Takako

Even though the staff didn't speak any English, they still provided excellent service. As someone used to solo travel, I found it comfortable and convenient, and it's very close to Tsuruga Castle.

Small but perfectly formed. The only downside was that the water in the restrooms took a while to warm up, but otherwise, everything was great. I slept soundly, the environment was comfortable, the staff were professional, and the overall atmosphere was fantastic. The only minor drawback was its distance from the station. While walking wasn't a big problem, the early arrival of winter made it quite cold, turning a short ten-minute walk into a rather unbearable ordeal. However, this was unavoidable, as no one can control the weather. Aside from that, there were no major issues. The hotel was also a plus, as there were many delicious restaurants nearby.

It was incredibly reasonable and I was very satisfied. The front desk staff were also very polite. This was my second time using this hotel while on a motorcycle tour, and being able to park my motorcycle under the roof was a big attraction. Also, this was my first time using the laundry, and while other hotels often charge a usage fee, this hotel even provided detergent for free. It was really useful during this time of year when you sweat a lot. I'd definitely like to use it again when I'm touring the Tohoku region.

I think the angle of the upper shower should be a little more downward.

The facilities are old, but they are well-maintained and clean.

The room was much larger than I expected and the front desk staff were very friendly.
