The dinner and breakfast, featuring all local Aizu cuisine, were absolutely delicious. I highly recommend booking your stay with both dinner and breakfast included. It was a hot day when I checked in, so I really appreciated that the room's air conditioning was already on, making it a very comfortable temperature. There are two types of baths available, and you're asked for your preferred time at check-in, so it's a good idea to check in early if you want to pick a specific slot. All the staff were very kind and hospitable. Their thoughtfulness in every aspect was wonderful. At checkout, I even received a red Akabeko charm. As I was leaving the parking lot, a staff member wished me a safe drive. I truly enjoyed my stay and would love to come back again.

The one-night, two-meal package included delicious meals. The Japanese-style room was not a suite, and the toilet was outside the room. The bathing area was small, but the room space and bedding were comfortable, allowing us to spend a peaceful and wonderful night.

A beautiful old traditional wooden building in a quiet street. We chose a Japanese room with floor futons though I glimpsed the interior of at least one other room which had beds. Our room was actually 2 large spaces - one set up with the futons on tatami mats and the other set up with a low table, 2 low chairs and the TV. Traditional food served and it is also possible to have lunch and dinner here as well as the breakfasts that came with the booking. We did have one dinner. The staff were absolutely wonderful, especially the chief receptionist who spoke very good English and took great care to ensure my need for gluten free food was met for breakfasts and the dinner we ate. Highly recommend this inn. The bathroom facilities including toilets were shared but never once did I have to wait my turn for the facilities. We did have to book a time for the shower. Walking distance to many of the local sights though we also hired bikes one day which saved time and were fun to use.

We arrived at the inn, soaked in the bath, and relaxed until dinner. The important dinner was served in a banquet-like place and was neither too bad nor too bad. We had breakfast in a room with a hearth. The breakfast had a much stronger sense of local cuisine than the dinner. For the specialty "meppameshi", we chose whitebait. The bento box was sprinkled with perilla leaves, sesame seeds, and pickled plums. Usually, it is called "wappameshi", but here it is called "meppameshi". The meal included "herring pickled in Japanese pepper", "eggplant with miso dengaku", "kozuyu", "kinpira burdock", and more. Lunch was more than enough than staying overnight.
