Toyoko Inn Aizuwakamatsu Ekimae

The room was clean and practical. I could hear some noise from the hallway, but that's probably due to the building's construction. The complimentary breakfast was a bit crowded, but the local soba noodle salad was an interesting touch.

The room isn't very big; we could barely fit two suitcases (26+29 inches) flat, and had to tuck them partially under the bed. The multi-story car park has plenty of space, which is a plus. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety, which was a pleasant surprise.

The room is huge by Japanese standards. It even has a proper desk. What's unusual for Japan is that there's a heater in the room. When you check in, you can grab pajamas, lotion, face cream, and other small amenities. There's only one elevator, so there might be queues during peak hours, which they do warn you about in the announcements. The hotel is located right next to the train station.

Right next to Aizuwakamatsu Station, with both bus and JR stations nearby. They offer a self-service breakfast with a good variety of choices, including tamagoyaki (rolled omelet), congee, bread, and soups. However, there's only one elevator, which can get crowded and lead to long waits during morning check-out and breakfast times.

It's a shame there's only one elevator. 😭

The single room came with a double bed and breakfast. Coin laundry facilities were also available. The hotel is conveniently located 650 meters from the station. The pricing was typical for a Toyoko Inn, and with breakfast included, it offered decent value for money. A 7-Eleven is easily accessible by turning left from the hotel, heading towards the Aizu-Wakamatsu Bus Station.
