We had a very enjoyable 3 night stay. The hotel has a lovely chilled atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly. This isn’t a 5 star bland big brand hotel. Kick back and enjoy it. The manager sorted our trips out to both the East Bank and West Bank, as well as early (very!) morning hot air balloon ride. This worked really well for us. Great guide (Leila) and excellent trips out. Local knowledge is great to have. We look forward to coming back

A haven from downtown if you like a simpler life as well. Since we were last there the menu choices are less Egyptian which was sad as the Egypt food was really good. The best type of Egyptian hotel which caters for independent tourists (although I fear they may now cater for large groups as well- none when we were there). Chalet rooms spotless. Good lighting. Good bathrooms en-suite. Lovely small gardens

Accommodating Place to Stay
Al Baei rat was a nice hotel… I met an accommodating staff and Ali and I shot pool and played ping pong. All the staff was great and answered question and helped in a pleasant way. I enjoyed my self and the food was very good. Would not hesitate to book there again.

Great hotel in a fantastic location. Ideally situated on the West Bank for many tourist attractions and temples etc. The rooms have a unique design and are secluded. The hotel also offers a free boat transfer across the river to the east bank when needed. The owner/manager was so helpful and spoke perfect English. The pool overlooks the Nile and the restaurant serves good quality food. Overall, a great hotel we would use again when returning to Luxor.

Absolutely the best find in Luxor, a lovely hidden gem. Away from the bustle of the city on the West side easily access to the Valley of the Kings and Queens. Only a short boat trip across the Nile for he Temples. Lovely cottage rooms with plenty of space and quiet. Felt surreal having a swim in the pool overlooking the Nile. Had a lovely sunset cruise free of charge from the hotel. Food was great too and highly recommend the curry. Only wished stayed longer.

We had a great stay for 4 days at the hotel. It is on a human scale with staff always available and pleasant. The rooms are large and clean. We enjoyed the swimming pool and meals at the hotel restaurant. The only negative point is the price of the excursions but it is compensated by the price of the rooms and meals. We will definitely return to this hotel if we return to Luxor.

Very quiet and charming hotel on the west bank of the Nile. If you want to escape the chaos of the city and rest with good views, good service and tranquility, this hotel is highly recommended. It is not a typical hotel, the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is quite relaxed, a bit "hippie". A pleasure to have breakfast in front of the Nile watching the city of Luxor and in a place surrounded by nature. The rooms are basic but have everything you need. The treatment and cordiality of its employees make it 5 stars... I would choose it without a doubt if I return to Luxor in the future.
