Driving to the hotel at night is still awkward because of the small section of the black light bonfire, just out of town a little bit. The hotel is actually very nice and modern and new, the room is very comfortable, dining is a problem, it is recommended to live by people. The front desk service is very good, providing maps and tour routes, including telling us where to park for free.

Very comfortable room. Location excellent on Plaza Espana in centre of Merida. Very good breakfast. Good variety of food on offer. Staff very competent and friendly. Rooftop pool helped us cool off after day of sightseeing. Did not use hotel valet parking service as considered price too high. Hotel reception staff were more than happy to show us suitable location for free on street parking, which worked well for us.

This hotel is located less than half a kilometre from the Roman Theatre, the Amphitheatre and the Roman Art Museum and not too far from most of the city's attractions, so you can walk to these places in five minutes. This city is probably not on the tour bus ”Europe in 15 days” tour group and it's a LONG way from most other places in Spain, but wow is it ever worth visiting. The Parador is well located and we had a good time there. Being the off-season, it was not too busy and service was very good. The only minor issue was that the A/C in the room was not working and despite it being November, it got a little warm at night (24°C) although ti dod not cause us any issues with sleep. Perhaps it was shut off for the season. I mean, you don't usually need A/C when it's 20 degrees outside. Highly recommended.

Small boutique hotel with a lot of charm. The hotel looks like it was someone's summer home that has been converted into a quirky, little B&B. The staff was oh so friendly and more than willing to answer all our questions. The hotel sits on a small street that is within walking distance to a plethora of Roman ruins plus a number of small restaurants, one which sits rights next to the Temple down the street. If we ever come to Merida again, I would definitely stay at Hotel Spa Adealba.
