Well equipped rooms great friendly staff.Had 2 weeks stay food was good pizzas better than any tried outside and pancakes loved by the kids. Not to far from all the main shops. Walk out from door turn left small shop there get large water bottles from there. If you want to go on any excursions go to bottom of the street turn left there is a guy there guy doing excursions there he is so honest even comes back to the hotel and waits to make sure your transport comes. Be careful if you go to others you could be ripped off as we met others who had gone elsewhere and transport never picked them up.We recommended him to everyone when you speak to him you will see how honest he is.I would recommend jeep safari where you all soak each other with large water pistols and bottles of water great laugh but you do get soaked. At the end up in the hills you sop of at a cafe to have food there is a swimming pool there with slides or you can jump into cold spring pool. The boat trip from that guy doing the excursions is great the catamaran one food and soft drinks included in the price which is cheap. You stop in about three bays where you can swim in the sea.Great beach about 15 to 29 mins walk if you to bottom of street turn right keep walking takes you down to beach. If you want the big supermarkets which are still pretty cheap best for milk . 3 litre coke . eggs bread etc bottom of the street turn left till you come to a restaurant on the corner turn right there all the way to the bottom crossing other roads at the very end turn left you will find two or three supermarkets.Migros .BIM .SOK

The apartment was extremely clean and comfortable. Regulary cleaned with fresh towels. Both desk and bar staff were very helpful and friendly. Food at lunchtime was great and reasonable priced. About a 5 minute drive in a mini cab takes you into the town centre with a huge selection of bars restaurants and hundreds of shops. Be prepared to haggle when buying ! A few minutes walk from hotel had some lovely bars for breakfasts . Staff always friendly and extremely accommodating. Very surprised at some of the negative reviews ! My stay here was fabulous and definitely would come back .

Worst hotel I’ve ever been to! Try and rip everyone off, floors are minty staff are rude and horrible I will never be returning to this hotel again and I suggest nobody else books it either because you will not enjoy your stay I can guarantee that for sure

I had read a lot of negative reviews but had read positive so went with an open mind. I was there with x2 teenage boys, the pool amused them for a few days then they were bored, the slides aren’t on at all times only certain times which isn’t good when trying to amuse kids/teenagers and the pool is quite small and there’s nothing else for them. The hotel is quite far back from the beach, took us a good 20 min walk in the heat to get to, Alanya is a bit like a city so it’s not a pleasant walk. The area around the hotel pretty run down, I did walk back at night alone and I didn’t feel scared although I would imagine some females travelling as single parents like me would. It is in a residential area that it is situated. There a mini market literally out the front of the hotel which is cheap to buy from, I didn’t buy any of the alcohol and I had heard about issues with the bar tabs so I just paid for coffee or ice cream as I got them. I did eat once from the pool bar and the food is good and a good price. The rooms, when I booked it wasn’t advertised that air con is a surcharge of 10 euros a day, which I thought was greedy I have never went to a hotel with air con and been asked to pay that amount daily to use it, the rooms at first glance they do look like advertised in the pics but they are desperately needing proper maintence, large exposed screws on door frame which I hurt myself on, a large open hole where sink is plumbed in under sink, the overhead shower did work, I didn’t think the rooms were cleaned properly after the prev people before me, bed situation I gave my children to x2 single beds in bedroom I slept on what was basically the most uncomfortable couch made up as a bed with the thinnest pillow but they looked comfortable, at 5.30 every morning I was awoken with the call of prayer from the mosque as it it situated very close to a large mosque. If going to Alanya with children I would recommend it would be better to go to the hotels down near the sea front as there’s not much for them here. The biggest issue for me that should defo not be allowed to happen is that there was the guy from Alanya ink who comes in and touts for business everyday around the pool and won’t take the answer that you do not want a tattoo, one day when i saw him coming back again to me I had to jump in the pool to hide from him just to get peace, that isn’t what you want to be doing on holiday.

After reading some other reviews I was on the verge of trying to change my hotel but I'm glad I didn't now, the staff can't do enough for you yes there are rules and I'm sure if you break them the staff will enforce them such as not reserving sunbeds with towels and leaving them for more than 30 minutes, not being able to take any food or drink bought outside the hotel to the pool area etc, air conditioning is priced at 10 euros a day bit steep tbh but I couldn't live without it so I paid up, safe is 2 Euros a day, drinks and food are competitively priced compared to other restaurants in the area if its your first time in turkey it has gotten quite expensive as we learnt your going to spend about £50 a night for a couple eating at a restaurant, all bazaars, markets and shops especially in touristy areas now charge in euros you can still pay lira but they only advertise euro prices, our room was cleaned everyday and it seemed to be in good repair apart from a net curtain that was torn and we had a couple of towles during our stay that was stained or frayed. If you have a late flight like I have there are no public showers or changing areas but if you ask at reception they will let you use a vacant room to shower and get changed in but you have to do this around 3 or 4pm. All in all I would book again I just wish they would have public showers so you can get ready for pick up a bit later.

I was really worried after reading some of the reviews. However they could not be more wrong. The staff are all lovely, helpful and pleasant. They could not do more for us. We had no issues with having a tab at the bar. The room was lovely and clean with both shower and pool towels. The pool was so nice after a hot day exploring, it is very clean and tidy. They have entertainment 3 times a week with buffet dinner. Breakfast is served till 10 am and the chef cooks up something fresh each morning so you don’t have to have food from the buffet. He normally heats up his grill at 9am. The food is really nice and large portions are served. It is about a 10-15 min walk to the beach and there is a shop a few minutes down the road that is open 24/7. Or there is the onsite shop but the choices are limited.

Reading reviews prior to our visit we were really worried we had nothing to worry about. Room good size, well equipped and clean. Pool area clean. Bar staff friendly no issues. Food good, snack menu and main menu. Drinks expensive but this is the same in most places. Overall we have had a lovely holiday and people don't need to worry

Not the worst holiday I’ve had. But it was close. There is a mixed bag of reviews for Vega Green. Some people say if you look for problems you’ll find them. So I’m going to support my review with pictures and videos. I don’t know how this hotel is rated a 3*plus. As others have said the reception area is dark, dingy and very uninviting. The lift is incredibly small, 2 people and 3 cases maximum. Not a major issue. However, the lift got stuck. We went from 4th floor to ground floor and the doors would not open. Imaging being stuck in a tin can in 30+ degrees. I managed to get the lift to go up a floor and the doors opened. Side note: the alarm button and the phone in the lift did not work. Fun times. The room is exactly as it looks on the picture. It’s a really good size. Two wardrobes and plenty of other storage. As per most hotels there were about 5 coat hangers. I paid 70 euros for air con and 14 euros to use the safe. Which to be fair is a significant amount of money in my eyes. When I got into the room there was a pool of water on the floor by the fridge. So I called down to advise the fridge was leaking. He said he’d send up a towel for the floor and would get someone to look at it in the morning. Turns out it was leaking. The door didn’t shut properly, the hinge was broke, you had to lift it and push it shut. But when you opened the kitchen drawer, it knocked the fridge door open. I can’t attached the video. Either way, that didn’t get fixed. We were told the white towels were for the room and the colour towels were for the beach/pool. We did not have any coloured towels. No big deal, we had our own. The floor to the apartment was manky. See photo of my scruffy trotters after walking round unpacking for 30 mins. Staff weren’t rude but they weren’t friendly. Although changed their tune quickly when I left tips. The toilet cistern leaked all night. It was like a form of torture listening to that all night. Even with the seat down and door shut you could hear it. There were some minging stains on one of the mattresses, the towels were holey. The patio door handle was broke as were various other little bits and pieces. I didn’t have that much bother getting sunbeds which was good. They do not cater for vegetarians. Options were chips, cheese and tomato pizza or you could ask for nachos without meat. So my youngest had nachos 3 days in a row. I did not enjoyed being pestered by Alanya Ink tattoo reps around the pool to get a tattoo. ( I got a lot of unwanted attention surrounding my tattoos and pestered when I went out of the hotel by people to go and get more). I don’t think hotels should let people in to do this (unless there’s a business link there which wouldn’t surprise me). The only female staff were the cleaning team which I also found weird. We ate out once but the area is seriously dodgy so didn’t leave the hotel after that. I was a single female travelling with two young daughters and did not feel safe. I

I believe life is what you make it. After reading so many reviews on the rude staff and miserable atmosphere we decided we would just smile and be nice as normal. The staff couldn’t do enough for my teething 2 year old. The bar staff everyone calls were empathetic and understanding. Even leaving her favourite water slide on for a little while extra when it should have been switched off. They wanted the children to be happy. Always responding back with smiles and greetings like nice people do. Go to vega green and just have a nice time. If you look for problems you’ll always find them. I didn’t see or feel anything that made me question their behaviour.
