Best Hotels in Albert Town, New Zealand

We were in Wanaka for two nights just after Christmas, so accommodation was short to come by. Great value for money and so close to the centre for access to restaurants & shops. Room was spacious with ground floor and access to small patio area. Kitchen had everything we needed & shower was great. Would definitely stay again

We stayed for 5 nights in one of the accor vacation club apartments in a one bedroom apartment. Apartment was modern with a full kitchen and quite roomy and comfortable. To stay at this resort you do need a car as its 5-10 minute by car to the main part of Wanaka. There were two pools but we did not use them. Overall a very good stay.

I rented a room with two single beds and a bath and toilet! I stayed with two friends, and the cleanliness of the room was maintained at the same level as a Japanese business hotel, and we had a comfortable stay. I originally planned to stay for one night, but decided to extend my stay because it was so comfortable! There are various common spaces such as the kitchen, TV room, and chill room, all of which are kept clean and tidy. This quality at an affordable price. Extremely satisfied. If I have a chance, I would like to use it again!

Good location with alot food nearby. Very comfy stay with comfy bed. And include breakfast as well. Overall, very worthy stay. Will recommend it.

The family of three ordered two bedrooms. The advantage is that the house has a large living room, a large lawn behind the door, and a small slide next to it. It is very good for parking. The disadvantage is that as soon as you enter the master bedroom, a foreign body smell disappears when you open the window. In addition, there is a distance from the lakeside, and it is uphill, farther from the town. Comprehensive: Fair and reasonable holiday hotel.

Really nice hostel with excellent, clean and spacious kitchen. Heaps of fridge space. Staff were lovely and helpful and I had a good time chatting at check in - they just set a friendly and open atmosphere. My room was great - had the private double with bathroom which was clean and comfortable with a great view of the lake - needs some sort of net curtain though as it felt very exposed with the curtains open as there is a main walkway right outside the window as well as the carpark Parking was easy and secure on site and it’s right by the lake and a quick walk into town - like 1-2 minutes. You’re right by the food trucks and supermarket so you can get a cheap good feed if you’re not in the mood to cook. Wifi needs serious improvement. Couldn’t get a connection in my room without standing in a particular spot and even then it was weak. Decided to try the lounge area but the connection was terrible there too so it’s definitely a hostel-wide issue. If you needed to work here then it would be pretty hard to do so.

This was a last minute decision to stop over at Wanaka. After a brief search, we found the Fairway Motel, called in and after a brief chat with the owner, we were settled in a very nice cosy unit. The unit has been brought right up to standard with a lovely new shower and bathroom. Some thought had been given to restocking the rooms well too and everything that we wanted was there in the unit. (unit 1 ) Great utensils for cooking too, appeared to be very new. A very comfortable Kingsize bed was a feature and after a solid drive, it was nice to relax and to get a good nights sleep. Outside, there was a small terrace which was nice and not a bad spot to put some washing out to dry out in the sun. I spoke to the owners, a young couple living there with their three children and they have been renovating the rooms as and when they could afford to. These were a solid young Kiwi Family, trying to get ahead and working their butts off to build their business. We wish them all the best as they deserve to do well. When we get back to Wanaka again, we will be staying at the Fairway Motel at Wanaka.
