Pateo Village Reviews

Very nice place, however there was no dishwashing soap to clean cups, plates, pots, knives and forks. Also the air conditioner did not work as a heater when in that mode. It would only blow cold air and the apartment was always damp. Lastly the indoor heated pool and hot tub were not heated, the water was a little better than cold. You need hotter water. Other than those items it was a very nice and quiet place to stay.

Warning! Warning! Warning! This isn't my first time staying at this hotel, but this experience was absolutely terrible. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this hotel. On the day of check-in, a woman claiming to be the manager forcibly demanded a €100 cash deposit, and refused to accept credit card guarantees (deposits are not uncommon, but accepting only cash is problematic). Her attitude was extremely rude, and she threatened to call the police after a few words. No hotel or service industry employee would have such a work attitude. If you really don't like this job, don't do it to avoid further affecting guests' moods. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Away from the center and pleasant. It has the essential conditions for a balanced vacation. It has an oven, which allows for some ready-made meals during vacation time. There may be some noise from foreign teenagers, but nothing serious.

Once again we enjoyed Pateo Village fantastically, we can now say that Pateo Village is our favorite stay in Albufeira. Wonderful stay in a quiet area close to the center, Staff is extremely friendly

It was a very nice location, but unfortunately the service was very poor.

Spacious apartment, in a very pleasant place with easy access to Albufeira (by car or transport). The indoor pool is a bonus at this time of year. The internet signal is weak and unstable in the apartments.

We went for the heated pool but the water temperature was 23 degrees. That is, cold. We told the maintenance man who was doing the measurements twice and he didn't pay any attention to us. In that aspect very bad. Very spacious apartment. Relatively close to the center

I had not many complaints but there is a couple WiFi was terrible cut out all the time and the pice of a bottle of vodka in a regular shop about €17 in this one it was € 28 so quite a difference there was a woman that was super polite on front desk and I can’t fault the cleanliness of the apartment

Upon arrival we were greeted at reception by a lovely young lady. Unfortunately that’s were the positives stop! The apartment smelt disgusting on first arrival, I have never stayed anywhere as cold in my life, our clothes were actually damp from how cold the apartment was, heating system was crap, beds were so uncomfortable. We were told the indoor pools heating had broken so not opened although we could use the jacuzzi only 2 days into our week long stay they closed it off and started redecorating. No bar or restaurant or cafe open due to it being out of season! Why open then? They have a shop open 24 hrs only majority of things we bought were out of date, the man that served us that one time we shopped in it was so rude, cleaning twice a week…. Lies…. we were lucky to get toilet roll, socks found underneath bed from obviously people before us. Personally I would avoid, as we will most definitely never go back. Never as disappointed like this anywhere we’ve stayed before.

All in all it’s very clean reception staff and cafe staff lovely just don’t go in October it’s dead and also the bald reception guy with glasses. Took this place away from getting 4 stars so rude and uncaring but special mention to girl from Brazil in cafe she was excellent and food lovely

Myself and 6 other lads I work with booked Pateo Village through a work rewards scheme for a 3 night trip to Albufeira. After reading some fairly positive reviews and a few very negative reviews we were unsure what to expect but considering all we had paid for the two rooms were work reward points, we were pleasantly surprised. Starting with the staff, every staff member we spoke to were very hospitable and friendly. We had read a few ropey reviews about the rooms so were a little concerned but we were again pleasantly surprised. The rooms, while basic were very spacious and clean and fitted with air-con. the pool area was very neat and tidy and looked very well kept. There was plenty of space and sun loungers available with plenty of shady areas. Also, the hotel had no issue with us bringing our own beers from the local shop and drinking them around the pool which was handy. There were reports about the hot tub being dirty and making people ill, but again it was basic but well kept. I did suffer with a bit of holiday bum while away but that could probably be chalked up to the copious amounts of beer and fast food consumed while away. All in all really good hotel, at the end of the day you get what you pay for and if you want a cheap getaway to Portugal then Pateo Village is perfect. PS. if you chose to ride the dolphins on the roundabout near the hotel be aware that they are slippery on the way down.
