The hotel was really outdated and badly needed renovation. We stayed there for 2 days, it was ok. The staff was nice, especially Ian and Thiago. Location is ok, near the beach. Breakfast is ok. A lot of package tourists. Probably won’t stay there again.

Very good room with a sea view Lots going on and the breakfast and dinner in the hotel is superb value for money  Buffet style but lots of choices and drinks are included

The location is great, there is direct access to the beach. Check in time is 3pm, which I think is very late. The staff starts mowing the grass early in the morning so you’ll wake up early. Compared to other hotels by the beach in this city, here mostly stay pensioners, which is a good thing.

Fantastic, was neevous about it due to revies. Don't listen to the negatives. Great place and would deffo come back again. My new favourite place, everything you need. Great wntertainment and lots of food options that accomodate everyone

The facilities are old and simple, like a guesthouse from the 1980s. There are no cups, kettles, tea bags or coffee bags. The safe costs 3 Euros per day to rent, but the scenery is first-class, with a first-line sea view and the beach just outside. The breakfast is also good.

Excellent location for access to the sea (Albufeira beach) and the cliffs. Center reachable in 15m via the beach but also with a free shuttle bus provided by the hotel. Nice swimming pool (chilly for the season). Excellent breakfast and quite variable buffet with extended hours. Structure a little dated, in particular the room (the neighbors' air conditioning is a little noisy and needs some revision)

Absolutely a wonderful experience from booking with Jet 2 through Hays travel to finish! Must admit we were a little nervous due to reading some really negative reviews but we always like to form our own opinions as we are very well travelled and understand that some people are more difficult to please than others. We arrrived a lot earlier than the usual check out time and highly commend Maria, head receptionist. She was very helpful and explained that we could avail ourselves of the facilities until our room was ready. We enjoyed a lovely lunch then sat in the coffee bar and Maria called us when our room was ready. We were helped with our luggage by an extremely kind and jovial Ion. We were very happy with our room. More than adequate for our needs, and the view from our balcony was amazing. We spent many a happy hour there just soaking up the ambience and relaxing. Every single staff member was amazing and could not do enough for us. Another special mention must be made to Aline who was the meeter and greeter in the restaurant. Always had a huge smile on her face. Another special mention must ruin must be made to Luis on reception. Would love to mention every one by name but too numerous to mention. The cleanliness was great and all areas had special attention to ensure guests comfort and safety. The food was great and there was something to please everyone at every single meal. What really stood out to us was the fact that we spoke to another couple from Nottingham on arrival and it was their 10th time here, and another lovely single lady it was her 4th time here. This alone is testimony to the unwavering effort by every single staff member. We had the honour of chatting to one of the managers Christof on our last night and complimented him on a great experience. Well done to each and every staff member. You are all a credit to Auramar!

Arrived 27th Oct 10:30pm, check out 3rd Nov. 2 adults and 1 child travelling. Upon first arrival the hotel is run down. In SERIOUS need of refurbishment. Booked a double room, and what was given to us was a shabby box room barely fitting 3 people. This was actually described to us as “one of the best rooms”- I must have a different understanding of what the best room is. After requesting a new room we were upgraded to a family room- much bigger and spacious but still needs serious improvements. Very basic and dated. When arriving you will need to pay €100 deposit. This won’t get explained to you but apparently you will have to wait 2-3 weeks for this to be refunded. This was not told to us when we checked in. As we had booked an ALL INCLUSIVE holiday it came as a shock when we were told and found out that only certain bars in the hotel was actually able to serve alcoholic drinks (not that we’re even big drinkers this was still disappointing) and IF they did you were only able to get a beer, soft drinks, tea/coffee and the daily cocktail of choice (this is always repeated so let’s hope you like the same thing). EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING ELSE YOU NEED TO PAY EXTRA FOR. How is that an all inclusive??? So if you do like a drink drink be prepared to bring extra cash. No where on any booking site does the hotel state this. After certain hours bars do not serve alcohol as you have to pay for it after 11pm, again how is this an all inclusive? Basically you are paying for beer and soft drinks. Certain bars only open at a certain time aswell, good luck just getting a Pepsi before 12pm. As much as the WHOLE hotel needs refurbishing the one positive is the beautiful views looking over the sea and the gardens/greenary. If you have children in pushchairs or disability/mobility issues, do not bother booking here. Unless you enjoy hiking up lots of stairs and steep hills. The indoor pool came in handy when the weather wasn’t the best. Despite this looking like a deserted greenhouse it’s basically a death trap waiting to happen. As the roof leaks in everywhere it is a constant slip hazard, with no warning signs around- this also applies to the outdoor areas, as we had rain a few days this made the outside like an ice rink, again no slip warning signs, this is simply a health and safety risk. The food is constantly cold, unless you’re lucky enough to be the first person there. Very repetitive and very basic and bland. Photos of this hotel are very deceiving and misleading, don’t expect it to look how it looks online. Try not to leave anything in the wardrobe as this will likely get stolen from housekeeping as things aren’t handed in. This hotel is rated a 3 star and quite frankly I think that’s too generous. For the money this hotel is NOT WORTH IT.

Lost items are taken very seriously, and strict procedures are always followed by housekeeping. Myself and 2 friends stayed for 3 nights and had a great time. Our room was fantastic beautiful sea view and very modern. The restaurant was good, we enjoyed the selection of food. We wished there was a bit more of a drink selection and maybe more places to get a drink. The beach access was great and the pool was lovely and clean. We would definitely revisit.
