Mercure Albury is located at 579 Olive Street in the heart of Albury’s CBD, placing guests within easy reach of shops, cafés, galleries, and the Botanic Gardens. Its central position makes it convenient for both short stays and business trips, with most key attractions only a short walk away. The hotel features an on‑site restaurant serving modern dishes made with local produce, along with relaxed poolside dining options. Guests also have access to free on‑site parking, adding to the overall convenience. Breakfast is also available.

Unfortunately, our stay was not a good experience overall. The reception staff were unhelpful, which made check-in and general communication difficult. The room was not clean, which was disappointing. There was very little flexibility with timings, and the parking was quite expensive. Breakfast was also a letdown—we felt rushed while eating, and it was not a proper buffet. The male staff who was making & servicing food was very rude, the hotel did not meet expectations. Overall, the experience fell short in several areas, and I would not recommend this hotel based on our stay.

We were disappointed with our room as we had three people (2 adults. 1 child) and the bathroom amenities were subpar, we had low water pressure that at one moment was boiling hot, the next cold. For tea/coffee the room only had one mug, 2 glasses for water. We were all coughing by the end of our stay and we think there was an issue with our air conditioner. We dined in the restaurant and the food was great, but for a busy Friday night there was only 1 server - to meet, greet and seat you, take your order, serve drinks and clear tables - for 20+ people.

The bed is small, only suitable for a short, temporary stay.

The first impression of the property was great s as it looked good from the outside. However, that impression was dampened with the behavior of the reception staff. No smile, no greeting, no friendly chatter. Nothing making us feel welcome after a long drive. I even had a 3 month old in my arm. She is usually pampered wherever we go. But the reception staff did not even bother, let alone smile. The evening receptionist was also not very friendly. I asked for 2 dental kits and was told there is only 1 and end of conversation. I get they may have gone out of stock. But I feel there is a way to present stuff. Apart from that the stay was good, the rooms and facilities were generally clean, except that I noticed a tiny cockroach in the bar area of the restaurant. Ok for one night stay.

For our drive from Melbourne to Sydney, we stayed in Albury to break up the drive. Albury is a small town with not much happening. The hotel was fine, nothing too great and nothing bad. If I had to come through this way again, I would consider staying.

The hotel is decent, a bit overpriced for what it is but overall a good experience. Nothing special as far as the room goes but comfortable and quiet.

Great place to stop and revive on a long drive. Clean and accessible.

Didn’t stay. Had a change of plans last minute due to hubby getting sick. Understandably can’t get refund or change of date but customer service, not one but two staff were quite rude in their approach. Especially the first lady I spoke with on the phone.
