Nice pub with friendly staff in a good location. Meals in evening were average breakfast to be honest was poor. Had full English with cold baked beans and other elements were both not very hot and had probably been there since earlier in the morning. Room ok on the small side and when arrived was cold. You’d think as they know you are coming they would turn the radiator up to make the room warm and inviting. Windows externally could do with some new paintwork.

Love the food. The burger is a particular favourite. And the friendly atmosphere. Quiz night is a popular event and it is lovely to see a local pub contributing to local events. Can't wait for the pizzas to come back for the summer.Well done Frankie and Luke

The most amazing meal served by one of the most enthusiastic Chefs I have ever met whose enthusiasm for his creations was matched by the taste. Friendly staff and Management what an amazing venue. Each dish bursting with exceptional flavours, well worth a visit.

First visit here but won't be the last. Excellent and friendly service. Really good food. Bit pricier than some but you get what you pay for and everything was delicious. Can recommend the hummus and beef salad for starters, seabass, burger, duck and curry for mains and the sundae for dessert.

Hands down, the best pub Sunday lunch I've had anywhere. We had the beef and the lamb, both cooked to perfection, as was everything else. Piping hot, generous portions. The pub itself is a lovely characterful old building. The staff are a delight and went out of their way to make my 90 year old father feel comfortable and welcome.

We booked a table for 1pm and arrived in the pub's hotel car park about five to one. We was surprised there was only a few car parking spaces left, so we knew the pub must be popular.   I ordered Lamb kofta and my wife had Asian beef salad - both were very well presented and tasted very lovely. As it was a Sunday we both had a roast. I ordered Roast chicken and I was surprised with the amount of chicken slices for myself and beef slices for my wife. Nice we wasn't limited to 1 or 2 slices.  For desert I ordered Raspberry frangipane served with vanilla ice cream.  Again this dish was tasty.  Would we visit again, without a shadow of doubt.

Stayed for one night on business. Pleasant staff and a very good breakfast were the high points but unfortunately the room was a let down, especially the bathroom which was full of cobwebs, had no hand soap and was generally grubby. The bed was comfortable but the sheets were scratchy and there were bugs in the room and a moth flew out of the cupboard when I opened it. The light fitting above the bed was also filthy.
