Alea Mare Hotel

A perfect location for a week of taking it easy & enjoying the sun and the sea at the end of September! The rooms were cosy and clean and staff very friendly, nice breakfast & a "beach bar" for drinks & snacks or a light lunch. A small, cute pebble beach for chilling out and some nice taverns nearby for a relaxing island getaway.

If you search for a place to relax this fairly small family owned hotel meets all your needs. Located perfectly in Alinda just a few steps from the beach and with really good seaside restaurants you won't be disappointed. We had a room on top floor with balcony and seaside view all over Ainda Bay. Watch the sunrise from the balcony or from one of the free of charge sun chairs on the beach. The staff is doing all their best to provide you a great stay and the room cleaning was good. The beach is great with a mix of co**** sand and small rocks and the water is clear and mostly calm closest to the beach wich provides you with great swimming and snorkeling. The breakfast is not the "oversized" kind served at bigger hotels but it sure has what you need to start your day in a perfect way with seaview as your company. No pool but it's nothing you will miss anyway and the bar is very nice with a laid back relaxing atmosphere and provides beachservice.

Good thinks first: the ladies at the front desk as well as a technician were very polite and helpful, but otherwise, the hotel is horrible. Old equipment of bad quality, inadequate cleanliness, humidity and bad odors. Breakfast was decent, but still hygiene rules were uncertain. And the cleaning lady from Ukraine was not polite at all. In other words, there is scope for improvement

The hotel is right on the beach. The staff is helpful, constantly smiling and very knowledgeable about the island. Rooms are great. Our room had everything we needed : refrigerator, AC, ample wardrobe space. Bathroom was clean and full of amenities. We loved the friendliness of the local people all over the island. If we come back to Leros again, this will be the place we will stay again.

The only good thing about the property is the amazing view and the friendly staff at the bar. The rest is a disaster, it is my 5th time at this hotel. But this time it is my last. It has downgraded so badly. I had a cocroach crawling in my room ( 2nd floor) the best room they have with pananoramic view. The owner's awnser was I have insects in my house two it is normal. Insane! Not to mention that the insect was crawling next to my toddler's crib. The air condition machine was dripping water all night all day. I told the manager after a few hours she told me we fixed it. It was amazingly fixed it was no longer dripping but rather pouring water like a river. I had to put all the towels on the floor to retain the water. I was shocked and dissapointed by the indefference of the manager to all of this. I did not even get an "excuse us" note for paying for a defected room. Anyway last time at that place.
