The best hotel in Almaty. Very clean, very good breakfasts, great personal. There is a free swimming pool and sauna...

We stayed at the hotel on the morning of January 1 after a long overnight flight to sleep, take a shower and have breakfast. Breakfast was zero, I can say that there was none. Eggs, dried cheese and bread. It's a shame to take money for this breakfast.

The hotel is very different from what the online photos show. I knew it was an old hotel, but I wasn't sure if they even cleaned the room, as there were strange smells and stains here and there on the bedsheet. Regarding the staff's attitude, you should manage your expectations if you're hoping for friendliness. The only good thing about this hotel is its location.

The hotel has a great location: next to the cable cars and close to all attractions in the city. The room and breakfast are quite basic but fulfill what I needed.

Good location, 3 min to KokTobe cable car station and 10 min walk to Abay metro station. The hotel is retro style and furnitures need some update. The service staffs are not responsive when you greeted them.

Excellent booking and living experience! It can use the bathtub to relax my body. Even though the assistant do not speak English, they always keep clam and be willing to help me, on one side for enjoying my breakfast , the other for my needing a taxi to train station. Finally, Almaty is a picturesque and hospitality city for traveling. Thanks 😊

Older style place but very nice and in a great location near the hills and fresh mountain air! The people didn't speak English but they had all the features written out on a sheet in English that you should ask for as it gives lots of great tips. The b'fast was fine and this was a nice hotel and part of Almaty to spend a night in transit!

The hotel is in a great location, right next to the Kazakhstan National Theater. It takes no more than 10 minutes to walk to the cable car station. There is a hotel parking permit in the backyard, which is very friendly for self-driving tours.

Stayed in February 2013. Economy single room. Warm and clean. Away from the main road, so you can barely hear the surrounding noise, and the electronic lock works well. Luggage storage available. Breakfast options are a little limited, but they have some delicious local food. I also like that it's open from 7am to 11am. I gave the location a 4 because it's a little far from the subway and on a hilly area, but the National Museum of Korea and other places are within walking distance. Water filters on each floor. Good restaurants nearby. Didn't use the sauna, pool, gym, in-house restaurant, or in-room minibar. Overall recommended.
