We have stayed for a week to play golf. Despite the poor reviews, the hotel is very nice. The rooms are spacious, the bed is comfortable, the linen is good quality and the towels are fluffy. Most rooms have a balcony, which looks out towards the pool and golf course. Service is very ‘relaxed’, no need to register a credit card, or book in for breakfast, and the staff were friendly enough. Breakfast is basic, but fine for golfers, and we didn’t eat dinner in the hotel, so can’t comment on that. Housekeeping was efficient, the whole hotel is clean, and the communal areas are inviting. Wi-Fi is a bit patchy. There were lots of large golf groups (mainly Northern European) during our stay. The marina is a short walk, and there are lots of bars and restaurants. No fancy or expensive fare, but there are a couple of places worth going to for lunch and dinner. You just need to persevere. The golf club is literally a few steps away, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There are 3 nine hole courses, red/white/blue. The courses were flat, so you can walk them quite comfortably, and interesting without being too difficult. The condition could be better, but I believe the weather is March was awful, and it was fine for us. There are mosquitoes! Particularly on the white course at hole 3. It’s a par 3, and we were held up for 20 minutes on one round, and got bitten to pieces. It may be seasonal, but bring your repellent. It can also be windy. Overall a good stay at a reasonable price. Would certainly recommend for a golf trip.
