"The hotel is located in downtown Almuñecar, in a quiet neighborhood. Rooms have been renovated, mattress is comfortable, and the terrace is a plus. They have a rooftop where you can prepare a coffee or heat a meal. It also has a washing machine and dryer for laundry. Staff is kind and attentive."

"The hotel was amazing. I was a solo traveller and the stay where very friendly and helpful. This was my second time at the hotel and I must admit this was better than my first time at the hotel. Lots of improvement which I was glad to see. The only thing was some of the quest, they noticed I was a solo traveller and they took advantage of it. I was having my dinner one night and the table next to me put their dirty dishes on my table as I was eating. I picked the plates and put them back on thteir table and told them NO. Well this did not go down well. When I was a the table having my breakfast the following morning one of the ladies walked my me and knocked my table to the point I nearly lost my coffee. She looked back at me and smiled. I was so glad I only had a few days left part of me wanted to let have quest know what I thought of them. Best part of the people there were German and no very nice the others where friendly. There was a cleaning lady she was singing Christmas corals as I came out my room she got me to dance with her. Lol she was amazing and soo funny lol."

"This is a lovely, quaint, small hotel in a good location. The hotel only has around 40 bedrooms so it is quiet and ideal for couples. The food on the breakfast buffet was delicious and fresh. The evening food was acceptable but not great so we did eat out a couple of evenings. I can’t remember what it’s called but can recommend the restaurant almost directly opposite the hotel - situated on the beach. I can also highly recommend eating at a restaurant just a few doors down from the hotel - blue and white signage. Delicious pizzas and slow cooked lamb! Anyway, back to the hotel…I think some music in the restaurant there would be a welcome addition as it is so small with so few diners, it is almost silent at times! The staff are friendly & helpful - they humoured me as I practiced my Spanish! Our bedroom was spacious and clean; we payed a little more for a sea view which we enjoyed. The bed was a bit hard but we slept well - it was quiet except for the sound of the sea. The hotel is on a main(ish) road but it doesn’t get too busy. The beach is shingle and not sand. We sat around the hotel’s swimming pool a couple of times - it was a bit too cold to go into the water in May - and enjoyed the view from the roof of the hotel which is where the pool is situated. I would recommend this hotel for a peaceful couples / adults break."

"Hotel is near village Le Herredura, you can go to this village and supermercado by feet but also when you have all inclusive option by bus-Julia every half hour. Room was clean and every Day cleaned by Staff. Beach isn't sandy. Tere are Rocks in the beach. Staff in hotel is friendly but more friendly to Spanish People."

"In short - the hotel has great facilities, but isn't easy to get to. The hotel makes no effort to assist visitors who arrive via the airport, other than offering to call a taxi (which may or may not be available). This means most of the visitors are Spanish (which suited us, as we wanted to avoid the ex-pat parts of Spain, although as we found out, anti-social behaviour isn't an English monopoly). Will we be back? Probably not. The Good: Although there was only one hotel restaurant open (being at the end of season), the buffet range was excellent for every meal (the selection gets even better at the weekend when the hotel is at its busiest). There is always chefs cooking fresh omlettes / steaks/ fish/ crepes, depending on which meal time. American food like burgers and pizza are available at the bar, not the restaurant, and are a disappointment. The restaurant does occasionally make modest attempt at British staples like mashed potato and baked beans, but always had the consistency of soup and looked inedible. We went as a large family group. The kids all had a great time, the kids club has its own playground and the staff are amazing. The scenery of the mountains and coast is stunning, particularly from the rear of the hotel where the infinity pool is. Even the standard rooms have good views. The Bad: Not easy to get to, poor public transport links. The hotel doesn't even recommend a company for hotel transfers. Taxis are around £100 each way to Malaga. The nearest shop is 20 min walk away and is open sporadically. The immediate environs is very steep paths and roads and not suitable for people with mobility issues. Information is sparse. There was no welcome pack or information at the front desk or in the rooms. We had no idea of the facilities, the layout, what was or wasn't available due to the time of year. The bulletin board posts activities but doesn't explain where anything is. We found out about most things too late. This involved visiting the front desk far more than should have been necessary. The staff were amazing, and most are multilingual and very patient. When it comes to maintenance, as soon as issues were highlighted (which happened three times while we were there) the maintenance turned up immediately to help. However, there seems to be an organisational dysfunction in other ways. Our room (a double / family room) only had ONE blanket between the four of us. Being October, the weather wasn't always perfect, and having to huddle together under one blanket didn't give the best night's sleep. We visited the reception REPEATEDLY pointing at pictures of blankets but were never given any extra. Being the end of the season, the pools had clean water but had slime at the bottom. Despite the excellent food, dinner service is not relaxing. I understand the intensity the chefs have to work at, but the same urgency should not be visible front-of-house by the waiting staff. "While the hotel facilities were satisfactory, I found the woman staff at the reception to be unfriendly and arrogant. They expected guests to speak perfect Spanish, even though we were on vacation. Additionally, it was frustrating to have to reserve a spot at the pool every day. On a positive note, the food was good, but the cleaning service was subpar - my refrigerator was very dirty. This detracted from the overall experience and made for a stressful vacation. I do want to mention that the man at the reception was very polite and helpful, which was appreciated. I hope this feedback can help you improve the guest experience at your hotel."

"What a fabulous little boutique hotel. On the edge of La Herradura. Perfect setting, beautiful traditional property. We stayed in Room 3 which has a lovely terrace with ocean view. Antonio is a fantastic host. So very friendly & helpful. Made us feel very welcome & was very thoughtful. Will definitely stay again."
