I booked a suite 3 weeks in advanced and they down graded me. I had visitors and I needed the space. The room was clean and the area was nice close to many things. The downside was the hallways smelled bad like animals and there were stains on the hallway carpet. There was only one working elevator.

I'm unsure of the standards. A $175 room deposit was charged upon check-in. When I asked to clarify whether it was a deposit or room charge, the front desk pressured me to sign. The elevator was broken, and the room was on the 5th floor. The air conditioner was very noisy, making it unusable. I was worried the hotel wouldn't refund my deposit. The room was cleaned before check-out.
