Xalli Beach Hotel

I had an enjoyable 2 night stay here. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food at the restaurant was excellent. Our room was comfortable and spacious. The only downside is the lake access isn’t great. There is almost no beach and the ground is rocky. I swam for about 5 minutes and got out.

Clean room with nice breakfast options everyday. Big bed and bath with really hot water! Parking is available for scooters or cars. One bad thing was that our safe was broken so we couldn’t use it and the hotel didn’t do anything about that when we complained. The island is still developing and you are in nature so there were spiders and centipedes in our room, which is make my husband kill. But it’s to be expected in such a remote part of the world. Not many dinner options nearby, just two or three tiny restaurants. So, if you don’t have transportation you are kind of stuck with those options.

Lovely clean room with terrace, nice garden with super comfortable hammocks. No pool but not really needed as direct access to lovely beach. Can’t comment on the food as the restaurant wasn’t open (hopefully it is now) but the staff were super friendly and helpful to us

The restaurant is very expensive and I wished they would post the menu on their website. If I would of known how expensive the restaurant was I would of stayed somewhere else. They charge $14 US for a salad which it would cost me almost $19 Canadian. For the quality and quantity of the food is was ridiculous !! Also Noldan (front desk ) was quite rude at times and didnt have his info amd facts right . He tried to tell the ferry ran every hour on Sunday which was completely untrue. It was very quiet and boring here for a solo traveller. I regret not booking somewhere else
