The village, Aljubarrota, is itself of great historical interest. It is around 10 minutes to Alcobaca. We found the area to be very pleasant. As for the Casa da Padeira itself, the quality of service and comfort was extremely good. For example, the breakfast was excellent, as were the rooms and the immediate surroundings of the Casa. I should add that we were given a list of suggested restaurants in the vicinity which turned out to be quite useful.
In all, this was a surprising, very worthwhile visit.

Beautiful property, comfortable beds, light/bright modern rooms, wonderful breakfast. The host is very friendly and engaged and gave us a wonderful dinner recommendation. Little did we know it was a Michellin starred restaurant in this small town. The pool is beautiful and the pool house with games and room to relax is fantastic for groups of family or friends. Great location for visiting the monasteries in the area. Highly recommend a stay here.

We spent a wonderful week with friends in this very beautiful, well-equipped place: swimming pool, table football, billiards, ping-pong table, giant chess set. The manager and her employees are very pleasant and attentive. The breakfast is plentiful and of good quality. A place to recommend without hesitation.

Crazy and logistically strategic location to reach both the coast and the cities of monasteries. Spacious and comfortable rooms, super breakfast and very helpful hostess.
