Best Hotels near Unico e Multiplo, Amalfi

The views you can see in the gallery are truly breath-taking and you are one hour away from all the major places such as Amalfi, Positano, Minori and Sorrento. We swam in the four different beaches and had lunch there too. Even the village itself is lively for evenings out when you wish to stay around. That is why we chose to stay there. We have plans to return so as to visit even more sites. For instance the Ercolano is on the way to the airport and is well worth the visit - so next time we shall visit Pompeii. Vesuvius is also an hour away and we bought excellent Buffalo milk Limoncello there, a novelty to us. And what about Ravello, what a sweet town with winding narrow streets opening onto a lovely tree-shaded Piazza Centrale and the Duomo. And a day in Capri with a lovely boat ride from Amalfi as advised by Signor Beppe. We take this opportunity to thank the whole family. Please take their advice and phone ahead if you have difficulties for your best choices or itinerary. And please slow down to enjoy the Tyrrhenian Sea and its rhythms, soak in the culture and smell the wine and the roses.

Where do i start? After a number of cancelled flights, the hotel Manager and staff made us feel extremely comfortable with how welcoming, kind, and helpful they were, helped us with a car rental, served us extremely good and fresh food, the views were amazing, the rooms were extremely clean, and overall, they made our trip the best it could’ve been. I cannot recommend this enough, if you’re visiting Amalfi this is the hotel to stay at.

We stayed here for 10 nights at the end of October/November time. There had been lots of changes with air travel but the hotel accommodated everything for us. We had a suite for the full 10 nights which we can recommend, very comfortable and enough space to move around in when staying for a while. The balcony overlooked the valleys and hills in the distance, and the hotel gardens which are spacious and well kept. Rooms were serviced when requested, and the minibar/fridge was a welcome addition to our comfort. We had a hire car which we were able to park securely at the bottom of the hill from the hotel, less than 5 minutes walk away. There is a little shop you can pop into on the way to/from the car park which is run by a charming man who will provide sandwiches, lunch items, etc if you want them, as well as other everyday items. Breakfast at the hotel is included, and of a high standard. The restaurant serves high quality food from a small but acceptable menu, and as we were staying for a while we found them very accommodating for making things for us that weren’t on the menu, or changing menu items to our taste (eg no nuts, etc). The food appeared fresh and was cooked and served with care and with friendly and professional service. The chef regularly sent us free appetisers of a high quality too. We were even treated to some wine lessons and recommendations by our knowledgeable host, which was really nice and welcomed by us. The bar was well stocked, and snacks were served with our aperitif every time, sometimes hot from the kitchen and other times nibbles from the local area. We went to a local restaurant (La Foce) a few times too for a bit of variety, and had no problems there or with the hotel doing this. The other restaurant is about 15/20 mins walk away up hill, but downhill coming back! It seems hotel guests often go there, and they looked after us very well too. The reception staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and gave us some welcome suggestions for things to do, including providing info on the best way to travel the fairly nearby Amalfi Coast by ferry. We had a really nice stay and were able to really relax after the trials and tribulations of the previous year and a half due to covid. We felt safe at this hotel too, and they were well aware of safety measures to reduce any risks for guests and staff. We can wholeheartedly recommend this venue for a relaxing stay with access to the local area. We found it useful to have a car, although there is a regular local bus service too for guests who want to use public transport. This makes the hotel more accessible to all guests even though it is high up on a hill, the views are breathtaking though and make up for needing to travel to get to other areas. It was a wonderful base for us and we will definitely try to go back again. All credit to a wonderful location and to the amazing staff who were always willing to go that extra mile to care for us. We loved the hotel and the location. Minori is a small town with a “locals” feel which we liked. Visiting the nearby towns of Almalfi and Miaori we really appreciated the comfortable and more relaxed feel of Minori. The seafront is easily walkable down mostly narrow streets although some roads it can be busy with traffic at times. We spent a lot of time on the seafront just watching the world go by, and the locals! We found the bus service unreliable and when one did appear it was full and not allowing further passengers aboard. Use the ferry service from Minori if it’s running (it won’t run in rough seas), it’s cheap and efficient. We ate mostly on the seafront, there’s plenty of choice for eating out. Our hotel room was very spacious with a good size bathroom and it was super clean, the cleaning staff remade our room daily and it was always spotless. We had a lovely little balance, the only downside was that it faced onto the road and was pretty noisy, the Italians seemed to like tooting their car/moped horns a lot! The doors and shutters did block some of this out but at times it was really noticeable. When we might have had the windows open for the fresh air we found it was too noisy to leave them open. However, as we had such roomy accommodation we tolerated the noise. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and good quality food.

The reason this is classed as a “wellness hotel” is because it comes with a free gym membership. If you’re physically unable, unfit or lazy, this is not the hotel for you. To get to this hotel was fairly difficult, there are 3 ways in, all require going up and down steep, uneven steps in various fashions. The “10 minute walk” (which is the quickest way), involves going up 60 steep steps, down 50 steps and through a tunnel along side cars, buses and vans , with no walk way, then through a walkway passage though the mountains to arrive at the closest point to amalfi town. The safest way requires you to go down 50 steps, up a long steep winding road of about 200 meters and up another 30 steps before reaching the passage for walking. The room decor is dated and resembles something that came out of a Wes Anderson film, worn down wallpapered walls with dirt and scuff marks, a shower that only half worked and floors that after a day felt like someone had danced around the room with toast in their mouth spitting crumbs. The bed was not to my comfort, was quite hard and felt more like stretched canvas over a frame than a mattress, this and thee pillows were nicely wrapped up by a throw that had been used by countless amounts of people staying previously. The hotel cleanliness was generally good, our room was made up each day and new towels were given, however the wood flooring meant that grime and dirt just stuck to your feet and I swiftly started wearing the flip flops for comfort. The service from the hotel on arrival was okay, we rang ahead and they informed us someone would help us with the heavy, large bags, however when we called, the single telephone line was being used and I decided to take on the fest of the dreaded 70 steps (bad choice). We were too early to check in, so we left our bags and came back later, when we got access to the room, we were awkwardly given a tour by reception, who left us stood outside the room whilst they got the slow small elevator up and our bags taken to the room, but it seemed more a quest for tips than service. If you choose to stay here, when tackling the stairs from the “beach”, I’d recommend you pay the few euro tip. Along this line, there seemed to be a fair few times (specifically at check out) when the elevator was broken. But this is probably my suspicious mind. The one positive I had for this hotel is the view, which I will admit is beautiful view of the coast and atrani. However, along with this view is a free alarm/clock 24 hours a day, 4 times an hour. The Atrani village clock strikes in the following times: Sunrise, sunset (16 times each) On the hour, for each hour On each quarter of the hour, for the house and the quarter Example; 7:45am= 7 dings, 3 small dings. When the doors were closed, this was not horribly audible, but noticeable and you can easily sleep, but it does get mildly frustrating and, admittedly, sometimes useful. We had free breakfast for our trip, the staff obviously do the

Excellent stay, with free parking, swimming pool and a small gym, courteous, educated and available staff for anything! I advise everyone.

The hotel was gorgeous and located in Sorrento with a beautiful view, totally worth the value for the night. My only suggestion is the pool to be open until a later time, and to offer lunch and dinner and not just breakfast. The reception personnel including the manager were very rude. I went to ask a question and the manager replied: ”only if it's one question because I'm very busy.” Every time I had a question I was made feel as if I was being a nag which I was not.

A hotel a bit outside. Nevertheless, the view of the sea from Balcori is the best location hotel. Great breakfast and clean rooms. Parking is keyed to the counter and parking is in front of the hotel road. It's okay in the off-season, but I'm not sure if I can't book parking during the peak season. It is a hotel that welcomed a comfortable night and a refreshing morning.
