Bootshaus Amberg

This was our second stay at Bootshaus Amberg and it continued to exceed our expectations. The beds and down comforters are amazing and we slept great. Their in-house restaurant and authentic German breakfast were delicious. We enjoyed a dinner there as well and the ambiance and decor make for a welcoming and delicious meal. We also enjoyed a beer out on their deck over the river. Delightful. Their staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Amberg!

Be careful when booking if you are going to be there more than one night. Made the mistake of ordering the petite. It was so small we couldn't fit our luggage. They luckily had open rooms and we were able to upgrade. The bed was quite comfortable and thoroughly needed after 10 nights on Italian beds. The breakfast was filling and service great.

AGAIN＞ AS STATED LAST YEAR WHEN I STAYED AT THE "BOOTSHAUS" Highly recommended. Excellent food, service. Rooms are comfortable.. Centrally located. Nice, cosy atmosphere..A MUST to stay at the BOOTSHAUS when in Amberg, Bavaria. Stayed again in June 2024 for 3 nights, loved it so much .. even extended by 1 night . just look at the photos, videos on the website, Facebook, Instagram etc ... looking onto the Vils river from my window. Loved it.. For all my AUSSIE friends if travelling through Bavaria..maybe e.g. on the Autobahn from Nuremberg to Prague.. a more than pleasant stop over I (as a retired travel agent) would like to recommend.. Greetings ...this time not from Cairns..up top in down under, but from Bavaria where I am holidaying at current. HAPPY TRAVELLING

I visited Amberg in December, on business. I have stayed in Amberg before, but this was my first visit to Bootshaus. It is a very clean and very nice boutique hotel that merges the past history of the building with modern decor and amenities. My room overlooked the Vils River (very pretty view)! I also took a short walk to the old town marktplatz, which has many bars and restaurants, to enjoy the Christmas Market. The hotel had an excellent restaurant -- there is a patio bar overlooking the canal, and a dining room inside. In December it was too chilly to eat outside, but the dining room was very cozy, and offered a wide variety of tasty menu options. Attentive, professional staff and very nice property. I will be back when I return to Amberg!
