Wonderful and quiet hide-away with breath-taking view over the bay of La Spezia. Perfect for couples... :-)) Not so overtraveld as the area of cinque-terre, west of La Spezia and therefor much more romantic. Many good hiking possibilities in the region around Montemarcello!

From the moment we parked our car and called for the cart to pick us up the staff all went out of their way to make us feel as though we were special to them (the staff to guest ratio was something I have never witnessed previously as it seemed there was always a staff member close by to attend to us) The views are very simply amazing and the food was some of the best we experienced in Italy! We dined in the restaurant every morning and had dinner two nights in their excellent restaurant with remarkable views. Another night we enjoyed their “Golden Hour” outdoor buffet and wine meal which I would highly recommend during pleasant weather. We reserved the outdoor spa and had a hot-tub with a view all to ourselves for an hour. Pool and outdoor lounging areas were stunning. We plan to come back again!

Golfo Dei Poeti Relais is a special place - ideal for a romantic get away. It is very isolated - a 40-45 minute drive from La Spezia. The food at Golfo is something very special - everything is prepared with the freshest ingredients and it was certainly the best food I ate wile in my Italian holiday. The kitchen and wait staff are to be commended. My room was lovely with wonderful linens and a great bed. Beautiful views of the gulf.

Pros: • Location: Stunning location with beautiful views from most rooms and common areas. • Peaceful Environment: Very tranquil as the hotel is not accessible by car. • Responsive Staff: Hotel staff are very responsive via email, ensuring smooth arrival and providing useful information. • Breakfast Buffet: Good spread for breakfast, although lacking some vegetables or salad. Cons: • Room Layout: The bathroom is cramped for two people. • Electrical Sockets: Limited accessible electrical sockets, with none by the desk. • Noisy AC: The air conditioning system in the room is quite noisy. • Coffee and Eggs: Coffee was below average for an establishment of this category, and the scrambled eggs were overly salty.

It’s incredible in all aspects. Location is amazing with stunning panoramic views. Rooms are well set up clean and tidy. Spa experience was beautiful with 80 minute massage that was blissful. The food by chef was a work of art. But the staff made this place next level. Attentive and welcoming. We can’t wait to visit again.

The resort was wonderful- the team made us feel right at home. We wished we had booked more nights. It was special Erica at the front desk was super helpful. The gentle man who picked us up in the golf cart was wonderful

The hotel is in a lovely location with magnificent views. We were lucky in that we had a room with a large balcony that overlooked the Bay of Poets. All of the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. After trekking along the Cinque Terre, it was a relief to return here for a luxurious way to end the day.

I spend an afternoon with my best friend who lives in Lerici and I was visiting from the USA. We did not stay at the resort but bought a spa package with a 25 min massage , access to the spa and hotel grounds & an aperitif. We both had an amazing massage by Christina , she was gentle , professional & went beyond to make us comfortable. After our spa treatments she guided us through the resort to the outside whirlpool. This is a beautiful resort & I hope to return soon again
