Kings Arms Hotel
8.4 (102 reviews)

Kings Arms Hotel ★★★★

📍 30 High St, Amersham

"Room 303 has no air flow. The window opens only so far and the blind is up by Velcro. Ask for a fan if you are there in the summer weather. Room 12 is lovely, massive bathroom and 2 sets of windows that open. Much cooler room. The building is lovely, the location is spot on and food is delicious - dinner and breakfast. Service for breakfast could have been a bit more attentive"

The Saracens Head Inn
7.0 (45 reviews)

The Saracens Head Inn ★★★

📍 38 Whielden St, Amersham

"Stayed here in September 2023. Good friendly pub with lovely breakfast . Rooms clean and simply decorated . Nice garden and courtyard area to sit outside and have a drink. Had a meal one night in pub which was excellent Staff were extremely friendly and helpful"

The Potters Arms
6.9 (24 reviews)

The Potters Arms ★★★

📍 Fagnall Ln, Winchmore Hill, Amersham

"We booked a twin room for the night to be closer to Heathrow. The stairwell was filthy narrow and very difficult to get suitcases up. The beds were OK. Only 1 big towel for the 2 of us and I much smaller towel. The bathroom and shower are very cramped and hard to move in. We woke up in the morning for 8am breakfast- as we had paid for, but everything was locked. We knocked on the doors and ventured around to find someone but nothing. Outside all the empty glasses were still on the tables. I would definitely suggest you look elsewhere to stay. For the price we paid and to receive no breakfast, it was very over priced and the photos on the site are nothing like what you get"

"The pub and the staff are better than brilliant. But the hygiene in the rooms needs some serious work. Blood/ faeces on the linen isn’t ideal."

The Potters Arms ★★★
"Positives: friendly staff, tea/biscuits, nice location. Negatives: the room was a bit shabby and in need of redecoration. The main reason for the low score is that it wasn’t very clean. The linen was fresh, but there was lots of dust in corners, and some grime on bathroom surfaces and walls. It obviously hasn’t been throughly cleaned for some time. Breakfast was late to start one morning. Far too much vinegar (which isn’t at all necessary) in the poached eggs."
