Aqua Petra ★★★
"Fantastic location ,beautiful hotel , the best Amorgos experience in a peaceful spot and surrounded by Infinite Blue environment. Very nice owners and staff , friendly and attentive at all times. All very clean and well looked after. Great to have a semi private beach at the edge of the hotel. The restaurant is serving authentic home cooked food and fresh fish . A great place to relax, enjoy the sea and explore the island."
Vigla Hotel ★★★★
"We have stayed at the Hotel Vigla for the last 5 nights . A gorgeous suite with a very comfortable large bed , sitting area , bathroom and dressing room . The staff were fabulous , so friendly and kind. The hotel is a 10 min transfer to the bay where there are many restaurants and shops. We were dropped off and picked up every time we wanted to go down to the bay . My only criticism would be lack of shade by the pool."
Aegialis Hotel & Spa ★★★★★
"Wonderful stay last week- a really lovely family run hotel with well appointed rooms - all with a sea view and lovely space to sit and take in the fabulous views. The food was superb - so much choice and range and the best fresh fruit and salads. Arta was the star of the show in the restaurant - she made it look effort less and the nicest of touches - making a birthday cake for my husband. It really is a special place. We were there as part of a yoga retreat and the spaces are so well thought through - each group had their own studio and options for roof top yoga and to try out the aerial yoga. The pool is salt water so gives you additional buoyancy - steps lead down to the main road to walk to the village if you need anything or just have a sea swim or you can take a shuttle bus. Huge congratulations to everyone who works here , behind the scenes and front of house to make it such an enjoyable experience"
Yperia Hotel ★★★
"We stayed in this hotel for three nights in mid-May. The hotel is situated on the hill above the Port. We believe it has 18 rooms and is set on several levels in the hillside. We reached the hotel by taxi from Katapola (which the hotel can arrange at a discount) but there are ferry services into the port at Aegiali. The walk from the port is uphill but would take no more than 10 minutes with luggage. We are uncertain how the hotel addresses guests with mobility problems but during our stay one guest on crutches managed very well. Guests in wheelchairs would have some difficulties on the island if not in the hotel. The hotel sits within a built up environment and there are no gardens but the access areas are softened with local planting. The reception area is a large airy room immediately accessed a few steps from the main road. There is some soft seating in the reception area but it does not, by design, encourage lounging. The reception room lets on to a pool area which is terraced and with sufficient sun beds, tables and chairs. There is a small bar. Beyond the pool on one of the lower levels is the breakfast room. Our room was on the top floor and called “Isle Essence Sea View”. We had a soft seating area with a desk and chair – adequate for casual working, along the length of both the bedroom and the seating area was a plinth that could be used as a shelf or to sit upon. There was a full width and fairly deep balcony, accessed from the seating area, with table and chairs but there was no shade. The bedroom was open to the entire room and really only had a bed. At the other end of the room there was a refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities and sufficient space for clothes on a hanging rail with a couple of drawers. There was a small safe. There was a walk in shower and the hand-basin was separate from the shower room. There was also a separate WC. Bed linen and towels were good quality. Aircon was efficient and wifi was good. Everything was well kept, clean and comfortable – our only anxiety arose from a concrete bed base which became a step down into the room and needed to be remembered at all times! Housekeeping was OK. We only took breakfast at the hotel and we do not believe it serves other meals – although in high season the bar may do snacks. Breakfast was a combination of a la carte and a buffet – food was good. The staff in the restaurant all spoke good English. The room, however, is not endearing. It was clean and functional but did not encourage any loitering. The whole of the seafront road can be walked in 20 minutes. This road and those side streets running from it contain enumerable restaurants, bars, tourist shops, bakeries, supermarkets etc. Beyond the end of the seafront and lining the beach are more restaurants. During our stay we encountered no groups of visitors in the hotel. Staff were always friendly and professional and multi-tasked! Nearly everything about this hotel "
Castelopetra ★★★
"We so loved this accommodation and the great hospitality offered by Andreas - so friendly and helpful. Best breakfast in the Cyclades! So much choice and plentiful. Beautiful views over the bay from our clean and comfortable studio."
Hotel Minoa ★★
"Wonderful staff, professional, friendly, accommodating. Rooms are comfortable, clean and nice decor. Breakfast buffet included. Located in center of Katapola short walk from the port to the ferry terminal. Many restaurants, cafes nearby and cute shops."
Skopelitis Village ★★★
"Very beautiful location, superb view of Katapola Bay, quiet setting. Beautiful terrace and beautiful interior design. Simple breakfast but everything is fresh and quality. I'll be back. Perfect location. Lovely and super helpful staff."
Amorgion Hotel ★★★★
"The shuttle from town is appreciated because it is a bit of a hike from the boat with luggage. The staff, room and grounds are first class. Breakfast is the only meal served (delicious to order), so have comfortable shoes for the hike into town and back. Certainly not beach side, but a nice pool and wonderful views of the mountains, port and sea."
Georgia Studios ★★★

Soil Amorgos
"Soil is a brand new family-run small hotel in Katapola. The location is perfect as it is only a short walk from the ferry pier and at the same time it is at the limit of this pleasant and animated port. The hotel is very pretty with nice flowers in the garden. The rooms are very well decorated in white and wood and all have a terrace. Our family room was perfect with a separate bedroom for the parents and the kids slipping on comfortable sofa beds, with a small kitchen corner, air conditioning and a nice terrace with superbe view overlooking the port. In the morning you can hear the goats at the back of the hotel which I found vert pleasant. The owners Anna and Panigiotis are very friendly and helpful, they were very responsive by email for the booking and logistics, they came to meet us at the ferry to help with luggage, and gave us plenty of good advice with things to do, beaches and restaurants in the gorgeous island of Amorgos. For the moment the breakfast is at a nearby cafe on the port which was ok, but they are considering starting to serve it in the garden of the hotel which would be perfect. The price was also reasonable and below what we paid in other cycladic islands. Overall we had a very pleasant stay, we felt at home instantly and we would highly recommend it."
