3-Star Hotels in Amritsar

This hotel is located down an alley in a busy part of Amritsar near the inner ring road and the old city. By CNG car, it's a quick 10 minutes to the Golden Temple without traffic, so the location is great. It also helped with minimizing street noise. There are not a lot of restaurants outside of the hotel on the street, but the food from the hotel itself was delicious and served through room service. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Easy check-in and check-out. The bed was a bit stiff and the room was cold, but they provided a small space heater and I slept fine. Bathroom is a bit primitive with a hot water tank and it was a tight squeeze. Walls were scuffed, but otherwise the room was clean. It was a comfortable stay with good food and good service! I recommend this hotel to foreigners who are looking for a comfy hotel close to the center that won't break the bank.

The sound insulation effect is not good. Someone in the night next party opened the party and the hotel staff repeatedly stressed that it still failed to effectively persuade it.

Later when I checked, the prices had gone up and the rooms were shown as unavailable. When I contacted the property, the rooms were available and the tarriff was higher. Bottomline is - book online and pay upfront on the website to confirm booking. The location is the best part about this hotel. Its bang opposite jallianwala bagh and approx 400-500 mtrs from golden temple. Despite being in such a crowded area, the hotel rooms are surprisingly quiet. The bathrooms are clean and decently spaced. The hotel has no parking but there are plenty of parking spots nearby where you can park your vehicle safely. Its better to park your vehicle and use local e-rickshaws for roaming around as the lanes are very narrow and the frequent jams can give you a headache if you're driving. Use local transport. Its cheap and gets you everywhere. Our booking had breakfast included which was a mistake. The breakfast was very limited with very lazy staff who were in no mood to refill once the food ran out. I had to literally speak to the ***ager to get served. This became an everyday practice during our stay. You can totally skip having breakfast here and go out instead, the nearby restaurants open up pretty early and serve much better options at a lesser price. Non-veg food is not served here because the hotel is extremely close to har***dir sahib and you'll not get non veg options at other nearby options as well. There is a huge market surrounding this area which you can roam around and explore. The stay was comfortable and this hotel is a decent option for whenever you're planning to visit amritsar.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. THE WORST PLACE ON EARTH - THEY HAVE RATS. I stayed at this hotel in November thinking I would be getting a good hotel. The complete opposite: it was a hellhole. As part of the booking, it was to include an airport pick up. This was booked over 7 days before I arrived so absolutely no excuse not to have arranged. My first night ever being in India and no one is there to pick me up at Amritsar airport. Despite having emailed several times through the days to try and get a confirmation, no reply. I then phone them up when I arrive only to be told they have no notification of me booking a taxi. I had to scream at them about 100 times to say its confirmed on the email. They kept saying they knew nothing about this. Luckily I had a contact in India who was able to phone on my behalf and told them to get their act together and send one immediately. About 2 hours later the taxi arrives. The don't open on either side and there are no seatbelts. It took him so long to find me and his English was zero. This is my first experience of the Sikh Holy land. Disgraceful. When I arrive at the hotel I say straight away to the Recepionist what the hell happened? He tells me 'the driver was stuck in traffic'. What a liar! The next morning I am still shocked by this episode so I go down to talk to someone else. They tell me 'the driver had a fever'. It took 2 interactions to realise I was surrounded by crooks. This taxi cost 1200 rupees. About 800 rupees more expensive than an Uber. Absolutely disgusting. The breakfast took ages to arrive even though I was generally the only person there (surprise surprise) and there were about 4 different waiters wandering around at all times. Most of them were doing nothing other than looking at their mobile phones. Clearly serving guests to much effort. The state of the kitchen was absolutely revolting. Rubbish lying all over the floor. And what does leaving rubbish out lead to? Rats of course. Please see attached video to hear them scuttering around in my celing. Every night they kept me up with the sounds of them running through the walls. And then leaving their droppings on the floor which OF COURSE never got cleaned up. ALL staff working there are men: not safe for women. The first night I arrived one of them 'escorted' me to my room without me asking. Clearly just looking for a tip (after my taxi didn't turn up to!), he did not get one I can assure you. They also didn't supply toilet paper without having to ask about 50 times. They charge for this hotel as if its top class but don't be fooled, there are so ***y better options around.

The staff is really helpful and polite. Especially Kapil. All amenities are readily available in the hotel (24X7 hot water, shampoo, soaps, towels). Room service is also really good, the kitchen food is also very tasty. I never felt as if we are staying in a hotel. They treated us just like family. Would definitely recommend everyone, if you are visiting Amritsar, stay here without a second thought. It's just a stone's throw away from Golden Temple, with markets and other shops available nearby 😀
