St Christopher's Amsterdam - The Winston

Straight out of Amsterdam Central Station. If you see a large river right in front of the station, that's the back entrance, and you can take a free ferry to the other side. Don't go in the wrong direction! Walk straight out of the station until you see the church in the first picture. Opposite the church, there's a small street. Turn into it and keep walking straight. At the first intersection, turn left, and after a short walk, you'll see the hotel entrance, as shown in the second picture. No air conditioning, no Wi-Fi, no hairdryer, nothing at all. But it is cleaned daily.

The front desk staff were all very friendly, and the room was a pretty standard dorm. The shower had a bit of a drain smell if you showered for a long time, but it was okay. The bathroom, though, had a slight urine odor. The bed curtains were nice, but unfortunately, my perfume was stolen during my stay. You really need to hide your valuables well here.

It bothered me a bit that everything had to be paid for (the lock to secure my belongings, the locker at check-in, etc.). Otherwise, it was okay. I also understood why children are not allowed...
