My wife and I spent an extremely pleasant 6 nights in Amsterdam at the Nova Apartments. I have to say that it is the first time I've ever stayed in a room that was actually bigger than it appeared to be in the online photos. It's very comfortable and feels spacious. Here's the things to know about this location: It is within very short walking distance of the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Concert Gebouw. The transit lines in Amsterdam all radiate out from Centraal Station. So, as you get farther from there, the lines become farther apart. But the Nova Apartments are very close to a tram stop (at Concert Gebouw) meaning you can connect into the extensive Amsterdam transit system with very little walking. This isn't true of all locations that are so far from Centraal Station. The Nova Apartments are on a quiet sidestreet. There are numerous good restaurants close to the location. The apartment has a full kitchen - there's a stove/microwave combination, plus a cooktop and dishwasher. There's a single washer/dryer in the apartment basement. There's daily maid service, and the room and entire premises are clean and well maintained. If you want to stay close to the action in Amsterdam but not right in the busiest, noisiest, most tourist infected section of town, this is a great choice. But, it's not cheap (but don't go to Amsterdam if you want to save money!).
