This place is perfect for travelers looking for a unique and distinctive accommodation. Opting for the dormitory saved me money, and the location is incredibly convenient as it's just one tram ride away from the central station. I would definitely visit again!

Quality hostel, well run with reasonable guests. Nice common areas. Extremely helpful and competent staff. Beautiful park just outside. Negatives: location is far from downtown. Triple bunk beds.

The absolute best part of this hotel is the staff. Everyone was consistently kind, friendly, and extremely helpful throughout my stay! The facility is clean and well-maintained. However, the shared bathrooms are quite inconvenient due to a few missing basic amenities. There are no clothes hooks or shelves in the bathrooms or showers to put your clothes, towel, or toiletries on while taking a shower. Additionally, body soap is available at the bathroom sinks but not inside the shower stalls. Adding a few simple, user-friendly touches—like hooks, shower caddies/shelves, and soap inside the showers—would make a huge difference and vastly improve the overall guest experience.

I had a really pleasant stay at Generator Amsterdam. The check-in process was smooth, quick, and hassle-free, with the staff being friendly and helpful throughout. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the overall property had a modern and welcoming atmosphere. The common areas were also neat and spacious, making it easy to relax or socialise. The location was convenient for exploring Amsterdam, with good access to public transport and nearby attractions. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider staying at Generator Amsterdam again.

The room was clean, but my pillow had bloodstains. The breakfast was plentiful, with fruit, yogurt, cereal, and coffee. However, they didn't provide shower gel, shampoo, or bath towels. Plus, the price dropped after I made my early booking.

This hotel is a renovated former university building, and the common areas felt like stylish lecture halls. The WiFi connection was good. I was on the top bunk of a triple bunk bed, which was a bit challenging to get into, but I didn't feel much shaking. The front desk lent me a hairdryer, but there was no microwave. There were both washing machines and dryers available.

I have been living this place for 2 nights and I would say the staffs are friendly to everyone and was proactive to solve the issue that I have encountered. The location has some distance to the city centre but the railway can bring you everywhere so that was a big concern. The improvements would be the showing facilities as I went there to get shower at the mean times the light was automatically switched off and that was scary if people didn’t bring their own phone that would be an security concern
