Mercure Amsterdam North Station

The hotel's location is great, right next to the metro station and bus stops. However, the rooms are very small, and parking is expensive if you have a car.

Fantastic experience! The breakfast was great; I always ordered an omelet with cheese. It's also very close to the subway station, just two stops from Central Station. Excellent value for money!

This stay at Mercure Hotel was fantastic. The room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast offered a great variety of delicious options. The best part is its incredibly convenient location, just a 2-3 minute walk from the North Station subway. The M52 subway line connects directly to the Central Station and the city center, making this a great choice for staying along that route. Plus, the staff were very thoughtful, even asking if I needed luggage storage after check-out. Their considerate service is highly commendable.

Facilities: The facilities are new and comprehensive. There's a capsule coffee machine, complimentary water, a toiletries set, a hairdryer, disposable slippers, and an iron. The room is cozy with plenty of lighting, unlike some hotels that can be dim. Upon check-in, you receive a complimentary glass of water or spirits. Cleanliness: Extremely clean. I'd say it's the cleanest European hotel I've ever stayed in. Location: It's very convenient, just a short walk up to Amsterdam Centraal Station. I'm not sure if the building opposite is a university or a high school, and it seems like the city hall is nearby, so safety shouldn't be an issue. Service: The two Caucasian women at the front desk were very friendly and patient. I'm a bit sensitive to noise, and the lady at the front desk specifically arranged a quiet room for me on the sixth floor, which I really appreciate. Soundproofing: The soundproofing is good; the walls are solid, not hollow, which is a great plus. Overall, it was a very good experience.

1. Excellent transportation, the hotel is very close to the subway, only 2-3 stops from the city center. 2. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and also offers luggage storage service. 3. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk to the riverside, where there are windmills. It's very pleasant to take a walk there in the evening. 4. There are many restaurants inside the adjacent subway station (but prices are higher), and there's a convenience store downstairs in the subway.
