What a great hotel is Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Maurits at the Park. It starts at the arrival. You will be welcomed warmly, the baggage will be accepted and put on your room and the car is parked in the garage. The hotel room is very atmosphere and has all the facilities and a nice bed. The facilities at the hotel are great with very good restaurants, a bar, a gym and spa. And the staff are really excellent. What a service and hospitality. You are being put completely in the water as a guest. They are ready for you at any moment and make sure you feel very welcome. There is nothing to them. The hotel is located in a beautiful building, with a lot of art. Everywhere is what to see and certainly worth seeing. A absolute adviser!

We are staying at the Intercontinental hotels as our main hotel and have been most impressed. Our stay at the Amstel was so pleasant! The staff was absolutely amazing, every person we encounter was so helpful and kind. It is impossible to single out anyone as each team member was great. We ate at the hotel all of our meals except one and the food and service were perfect. We were so grateful that although the afternoon tea was full they were able to accommodate us in another beautiful location where our view was spectacular. We are in hotels 150 nights a year and our experience at the Amstel was one of the very best. The staff members were such nice quality people. They thanked us for allowing them to provide assistance to us. We were so humbled by the generosity of the hotel staff. While dining everyone pitches in and help one another and whatever we could want was provided immediately. Thank you very much with complete sincerity and gratitude. The management should be commended for encouraging such terrific service. We look forward to our next visit to Amsterdam and staying at the Amstel.

The hotel is a century-old building by the canal. It is about 3 kilometers from the city center. Don't mind the option of walking. The hotel was poorly rated for hygiene, and there was no vacuuming or mopping on the carpet. Fortunately, European hotels do not have toiletries, otherwise it may be suspected that the previous guest stayed. I ordered no breakfast and couldn't comment. The bed was comfortable

My husband and I don’t drink alcoholic beverages. They give us non-alcoholic champagne. After the check-in, we also give the L’Occitane gift bag. The weather in Amsterdam makes us go out very bad. Given the reviews, I was not keen to stay here, but thanks to Ajax v Napoli there were no others available. To sum up, this isn't a 5 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. It is a 3 star hotel. Positives: - Location is superb - Architecturally stunning building - Large room (in my case, at least) - WiFi speeds are good. I was able to do video meetings from my room - Staff were pleasant and friendly Negatives: - Inside, the hotel is dark and in a state of disrepair - The kitchen closes early, and room service appears to not be possible. I was told that I should download Uber Eats if I wanted food after 10pm. - The room is tidy, but basic areas like around the sinks, bath, windows and TV were dirty - There is a smell of sewage that comes from the shower drain - The majority of channels on the TV are unavailable - There is no air conditioning. I had 2 tower fans in my room, and I had to use them both just to stay cool - No help with luggage, not that I couldn't manage myself - You get a bottle of water on the table when you check in. I had some the first night because it was so hot in the room. The second night when I was working late, I turned to open my fresh bottle. Nope! Same half empty bottle, had just been moved back to the table again. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel! Stay somewhere else. A few weeks earlier, I stayed in the Sofitel Legend. THAT is a 5 star hotel.

The hotel is quite close to the central train station. It is also close to the Chinatown, the Rembrandt museum, the restaurants, and other touristy places. The staffs are friendly and helpful. There is a small restaurant on the first floor. There are also a small shelves with snacks and drinks behind the receptionist, so it’s quite convient to get some midnight snacks. The room has a nice size and it is very clean. The decoration is quite playful and modern similar to other Ibis hotel. The price is good for the location and the size of the room. However, the room is not very sound proof. It’s easy to hear the sound coming from other rooms and form the corridor. At this time, Holland does not require the mask anymore inside the hotel so it’s nice to feel back to how it was before the pandemic.

Right next to the subway station, there are trams 4 and 14. We came out of the airport to take the train to the Central Station, and then changed to No. 4 to the hotel. The streets and roads in Amsterdam are not all asphalt roads, many of which are small bricks and have a lot of luggage. You have to choose the side of the subway station, otherwise you will walk too hard. Old hotel, very clean, very warm reception. No breakfast choice. If you are booking a car, please pay attention to the fact that taxis, etc. cannot reach the entrance of the hotel, or you must cross the square, or be on the side of the road behind you.

Hotel location was good as it is in the central area to almost all activities that we went. But however, hotel room service did not help us to empty our toilet trash bin every single day despite that we gave tips everyday, so I'm not sure how clean exactly is their room service. Bring extra cash for hotel tax and deposits as we were only told on the 1st night of checking in when the recept call up to our room to ask us to go to the reception to pay for our hotel tax and deposit, where only the deposits will be refunded upon checking out if you did not consume their in-room beverages or destroy their hotel etc. Hotel location is very near to 2 super mart, and also the ******** coffee shop, cafe and restaurants, not very convenient for kids as every where smells of ********. Breakfast was super good spread, large varieties, we love it.

Excellent location, could walk to every “tourist” place. . Plenty of restaurants and bars right outside the doors! The breakfast at the hotel was great with lots of options and the staff very accommodating! Pastry chef is outstanding..deserves a raise!! Croissants the lightest fluffiest ever! Everything tastes as good as it looks! Front desk staff very nice, Sarah went out of her way to “fix” a minor problem and continued ask if everything was ok each time she saw us. Rooms clean and roomy, beds comfortable would stay again if ever in Amsterdam and recommend this hotel to anyone who asks! Transportation from airport is a little pricey (taxi for 4 ..70-100 euros depending on traffic ) but once you are there no need to use again.

We decided to splurge on this 5 star hotel for a long anticipated family reunion. Unfortunately the experience was marred by a series of disappointments caused by utterly incompetent hotel staff. When I called ahead on the day of our arrival to request an early check-in the hotel rep. sternly informed me that I would have to pay a 120 Euro charge for the privilege! We are experienced travelers and never have we encountered such a demand. We took our chances regardless and decided to show up 2 hours early. Sure enough, our room was already ready and we were allowed to occupy it at no extra charge. Things really started to go south when a limousine that I had arranged for separate airport pickup of my daughter’s family through the concierge showed up at the airport unequipped with a baby car seat. I had expressly requested this when I booked the service. This was also specified in the booking confirmation sent by email to me by the concierge. The reaction I later got when I complained to the concierge was that I was not charged extra for the baby seat - as if this was the main issue! Furthermore, this was the first time that I was informed of such a charge, as no mention of this had been made in the email confirmation of the limo reservation which I originally received from the concierge. More importantly, what is more concerning is the utter indifference he showed for the safety of a guest’s infant grandchild. All that concerned him was the money angle to the failure. Things soon got worse. When we checked into our room we lifted the bed cover to discover several hairs and multiple red and yellow stains. Unbelievably, the chambermaid had neglected to change the bedsheets. This, in a 5 star hotel! After we called reception, staff was quickly sent to our room to change them. We never heard further from management about this. We later had dinner at Serre restaurant onsite and left the place hungry. The chef seems to focus on presentation and less on the reasonableness of the portions. My wife had a fish main course which was equivalent to 3 forkfuls. The minuscule dessert was pretty to look at but was grossly inadequate even for one person. The restaurant style is a throwback to the old Nouvelle Cuisine school. For the icing on the cake: a voucher for a round of drinks on the house at the rooftop bar that the guest services manager had kindly given me was bungled by the bar staff. When I arrived home I discovered a mysterious charge of 66 Euros by the Twenty-Third Floor Bar. The bar staff set new standards of incompetence in taking my voucher and charging me anyway.I had to call the hotel for credit but I am losing money anyway from the spread in exchange rates used by credit card companies. To be fair, the Superior View room was extremely spacious and comfortable with a magnificent view. The large pool and ample spa facilities were enjoyable and a significant convenience . The coffee was excellent and the latte/espresso was very much enjoyed by my husband. In fact, after breakfast I was ready to lounge in the spa-like bathroom in our suite. We traveled with our daughter and so had both suites. Frankly, I had a hard time choosing ours. Hers had a well designed bathroom with a shower and the fireplace in her room made our winter visit feel very cosy. They are both large and well lit with sitting areas and she didn’t even use the front room adjacent to her sitting room. Ours had a large living area with a sofa to sink into as well as another beautiful ceramic tile bathroom with shower and separate tub with heated floors. It was such a comfort to come back to the house after long days walking, sightseeing, and Ubering around Amsterdam, sometimes in the rain. Either suite is an excellent choice. We felt privileged to visit Breitner House and although we have stayed in amazing boutique hotels, top Kyoto ryokans, and large hotels, it was a peak quality experience for all of us.

Stayed for three nights Wednesday to Saturday room 108 one of the superior rooms with a balcony overlooking the front of the hotel on the 1st floor, Very clean ,with bottled water and plenty of tea and coffee in the room and restocked daily . Bathroom large wet room style shower and plenty of towels again changed daily . King-size bed lots of pillow choice . The balcony was great to watch life go by enjoying a beer in the late September sunshine . Had breakfast one morning ,good cold selection ,and coked eggs and bacon not sure it's worth 17 euros ? Great location the local area has lots or food and bars try Beppi pizza and burgers and shake a short stroll away . Walked up to the windmill and local market and also a jumbo supermarket within 5 mins walk . Team stops are local and 15 mins into the centre we used the tram app 3 days unlimited on trans and metro no issues . Great location ,great hotel will be returning. Thanks Ryan & Laura

Staff super friendly!!! But the bed was three bunk bed and I got the top one, it’s VERY high up I’m telling you that, like it’s not the normal high, and you have shower and toilet in the room which I don’t think it’s a good idea. The locations was alright, but if you wanna go to centre you definitely need to use some kinda transportation (bike, bus or taxi) it’s not really walkable especially if you have your luggage w you. My experience with Amsterdam was okay but nothing really impressed me. I don’t this the price performance for visiting this city is super low. Overall I wouldn’t come back to this hostel again FIY the hostel DOES NOT have microwave so don’t even try to get cheap microwave food if you are staying here.

I thought out stay at yays maritime was fantastic from start to finish. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, comfortable and views of the canal are beautiful. We came with 3 kids and found the hotel and area very safe and quiet. The beds were the best ones I have slept in in Amsterdam, soo comfortable! The area is quiet with not alot going on but there are some restaurants, bars, coffee shops, brewery, and a market within 5mins walk. Also a great park close for kids There is a bus stop right outside which takes you right to outside central station and back within 10mins or a 25min walk. I don't have anything bad to say about this place as it ticked every box!

Overall experience wasn't bad. No AC so be mindful if booking during summers with rising heatwaves. The hotel itself is a labyrinth to access which is annoying for accessibility. Check in is said to happen ahead via email but it in fact still takes up much time in person. Mostly recommend young folks working just above a hostel budget. But I was very satisfied with the location as Amsterdam central can be too chaotic. And the employees were really lovely. Especially bar folks. It's bustling with people and music so definitely more of a young crowd/artsy vibe.

I travel for work and frequent hotels on a weekly basis for the last 16 years, usually Hampton inns or holiday inns. I have never had a breakfast remotely as good as what this hotel serves! There was such a variety of different foods, and we would get a great start to our day with a full belly! Was nice as we could skip lunch as prices were so high at the restaurants. Room was nice and otherwise typical of a Hampton Inn.

Very beautiful and modern interior design with strong attention to details. Walls are in this gorgeous deep green decorated with gold/natural wood furniture and fixtures. The blackout curtains are a huge plus for a good night’s sleep and they maximised their bathrooms by splicing out the shower and the toilet! Comfy stay and lovely staff. Highly recommend and will book again in the future

Short trip to Amsterdam as a couple. It was a 20 minute walk to the main train station which we were ok with. Breakfast was good. Rather than opting for the bed and breakfast style package, we paid for breakfast each day as there was a quite a large menu with lots of different larger and smaller sized options on it. The bar was lovely, we got to sit by the water and enjoy a few beers from the brewery. We chose to go to the bar rather than wait for table service as it was a lot quicker and we could look at the different beers on sale. The Reception was very helpful. There is a large grassy area just outside which our room overlooked. This did get a bit noisy on a late evening with groups sat out. The water in the shower became ridiculously hot at times so do be careful of this. This was a good base on the outskirts of town.
