Capitol Hill Hotel and Suites

Believe me it was bliss for me that travel became very limited during this pandemic. People are, like, away. Away. So I was fished out of my comfort zone by my husband who wanted to leave our current city -- a city that worships face shields, as if face masks weren't enough to choke us in this heat. We initially booked our flights to Bohol, hotels included. But thanks to the national government's ever-expanding classification of quarantines, we had to cancel that trip. We wanted to still celebrate a week-long birthday out of town so we planned on driving to cities with little or no quarantine restrictions. First stop: Angeles City in Pampanga. Pampanga is a province not in included in the NCR bubble in May 2021. So we didn't need to get tested or quarantined when we got there. We didn't realize looking for a pet-friendly hotel would be so difficult. We found a couple, but landed in Capitol Hill Hotel and Suites. The hotel isn't really inside Clarkfield. One enters the zone from NLEX and exits one of the side gates. You'll pass through what seems to be the former red light district of the old US Military (?) zone, and you'll find Capitol Hill build just outside the residential areas alongside some of the old and new hotels. This one looks new. Squeaky clean. They have ample parking spaces in front and beside the hotel building. With a crate, a couple of bags, and 4 small dogs, were pleased to be led to a room in the second floor. We still had to take several elevator trips to and from the car. I lost count on how many times the doorman held the door for us. The two ladies at the Reception were all smiles all the time. We were handed only one key card. But in all hotels that I've stayed in, I've always made it a rule to get two key cards, in case I leave the other one in the room. The room's about 50 square meters, with a king size bed, TV, and toiletries, a huge window that overlooks where we parked the car, and a see-through bathroom with a tub. Water pressure in the sink and shower were strong. And again, squeaky clean. The toilet flushes well. The entire building has wi-fi. We were provided with enough towels. The closet had two robes, two pairs of slippers, and a safety deposit box. Venture to the rooftop and you'll find the infinity pool, bar, and restaurant. The food is pricey if you're on a budget, but they serve them fast and with utmost concern about your taste. You don't have to take the towels from your room if you want to use the pool; they provide towels for that. I recommend you have dinner at the rooftop by yourself or with a date. The evening view of Clarkfield and the Clark Airport is spectacular. One floor below the rooftop is a small gym with a treadmill, peloton, and a few weights. The next morning, I had to stay in the room to prepare our stuff for our next lap in our tour. The phone rang asking us if we wanted our breakfast in the room or the restaurant at the rooftop. It was 9:30AM already; we said we'd be havi

Queens Hotel Angeles City

Angeles|2.4km from city centre
My experience at the Queens hotel had a very rocky start. #1. When I had checked in, I was given a room where the room wasn't made yet. No towels and no bedding. Called the front desk and they sent housekeeping to fix the problem but it's still an inconvenient 45 minute wait to shower. #2. The mattress was hard and lumpy. Maybe got 30 minutes of sleep the whole night. In the morning, I asked the front desk if any other room was available and if I could switch? They informed me no other rooms available but they will provide a foam mattress for me. Fortunately, this solved the problem and I was able to sleep the rest of the stay. Kudos to the front desk staff for their outstanding customer service to keep me there because I was already looking online for other hotels in the area to switch to. Location is great. Pool is relaxing. Highly recommend getting the balcony rooms to lounge in, but bring your noise canceling headphone because noise from the street and pool area could be distracting. Heard great things about the restaurant but I only had breakfast there -- wasn't very impressed with their limited menu. Not the friendliest staff in the restaurant either. I also wanted to substitute rice for hash brown but was told it would cost an additional 100 peso. Wow? Really? Just for rice? For breakfast, walk over to Phillies or Envy. Customer service and menu is much better. Overall, good hotel. Reason why I don't give them a 5* is the rough start upon check-in and restaurant. .

Score Birds Hotel

For a long time I had heard about Score Birds but I was loyal to another hotel during my frequent visits to this city. This most recent trip that hotel had no available rooms and so I booked at Score Birds. From the moment I arrived I wore a smile on my face. Wonderful front desk staff, super friendly door and bell staff. Very pleasant surroundings and though my room didn't have a window (unavailable at time of booking) I was completely happy with it. Great channel lineup on the TV and despite being only about 75 meters from Walking Street my room was quiet. Nice restaurant on the property, beautiful pool. The absolute BEST thing was the staff. I travel to the U.S. for work as a healthcare provider in the O.R. and spend over 200 nights a year in hotel rooms. I also travel extensively in Asia when not in the U.S. A hotel can be all swank and polish, but if the staff doesn't shine the hotel doesn't shine. Score Birds has a staff that shines. Bright and shiny. I've already booked for another week in June and managed to get an upgraded room. Rooms here are in demand, so book early. Laundry service and airport transfer are available at the hotel. This is now my very most favorite place in Angeles City. It's the staff that make it that way. They are professional, courteous, friendly, politie and right on top of thing. I asked for some extra towels and a couple of extra pillows to prop a sore knee up on. I barely made it back to my room before they were being delivered! No charge either. Unlike a lot of other hotels that charge you ”daily rent” for that extra towel or pillow. I can't shout out enough kudos for this hotel. They (the staff) are doing a fantastic job and this is where I plan to lay my head any time I am in Angeles City from now on.

Clarkton Hotel

My wife and I just finished up our vacation in the Philippines and on our way back after taking the extended family to Baguio, I suggested we spend a few nights in Angeles to visit some relatives and let the family enjoy a western style hotel. As there were 13 of us, I reserved 6 rooms including 4 standard, a superior suite and a queen balcony. Our family absolutely fell in love with the Clarkton. Housekeeping kept the rooms spotless Best sleep we had during our entire vacation. rooms are quiet clean and comfortable. The restaurant staff went out of their way to make sure a table was set for everyone in our family and provided exceptional and courteous service Breakfasts were especially good. as well as the coffee (Irish for me) The ladies at the front counter were more than helpful and again made our family feel like they were the most special guests there Housekeeping was friendly and did an excellent job and the security guard helped whenever we were going out Our family had never stayed at a nice western style hotel before and they commented how everyone at The Clarkton made them feel so welcome and special. They loved swimming in and hanging out by the beautiful pool and said it was the best vacation they had ever experienced We decided to use the transfer service to NAIA and it was the nicest van service we've had in the Philippines Overall, Thank You. My wife and I travel quite a bit around the world and we agreed we will return to the Clarkton

Park Inn By Radisson Clark

We are truly blessed that we discovered the best kept secret in Luzon, Philippines and it is in Clark City, Pampanga! The park inn by Radisson secret for us to come back the 2nd time around is their excellently trained hotel staff! Almost all of their employees from guards to chambermaids are very respectful and mindful of each guests needs. The front office are always cheerful and efficient. The restaurant workers are attentive and quick. The porter and van driver are extremely helpful and thoughtful. When you visit this hotel ask for these these personnel: Front office = Rem, Angel, Ace, and James, ad Maren; Restaurant = Dion, Kido, AJ, Randy and Jessie; Room Cleaning = Richard, Edward & Kevin; Bags = John Not only did these staff gave their best at their assigned tasks but they also multi-tasked. My husband and I observed their performances for a week because we also owned our lodging facility in Virginia, USA. What touched us also, when we checked out at the crack of dawn, a sandwich with fresh fruit and freshly brewed coffee were waiting for us to go with our trip to the airport. Now that is a superb customer service! Finally, I want to mention the array of food served each day is well thought-out and very appealing. Kudos to the chef - it's getting better each time! The bedroom is so comfy that my husband wants to stay inside all day! For those checking in, make sure to request to clear the deposit charged amount to your credit card as soon as you check out. My family and I will definitely plan on making this lodging facility our home while visiting our relatives in Luzon area. Keep up the excellent and professional training Radisson!!!

Great location - a couple brown outs so this hotel really needs a backup generator. The staff is really nice. The rooms are cleaned only every second day and you only get the complimentary water on the first day. It is quiet and the wifi is ok but it varies greatly by room.

I have been staying at this hotel since 2012. Never have I had an issues. The service is good and the food is not bad (though you can easily walk to nearby establishments outside for some really good food). The location is perfect. I can get a peaceful sleep here since it's not inside the walking street.

The Dennison Hotel

Amazing! Best place I stayed in the two months I was in the Philippines. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in Angeles. Rooms and bed are nice, clean, and comfortable. It is a newer place and looks just like the pictures. The bed even has a fluffy comforter. Staff is great and friendly. It is in the middle of a quiet neighborhood about a 10 minute walk from walking street. Rooms are dark and you don't have to worry about being woken up by the sun, roosters, traffic, or loud guests. Shower has hot water, there is a fridge in the room, and a rustic wooden bench. There is also an outdoor patio area, making it comfortable to just hang out at the hotel if you want, be it inside or out. This was a tremendous value as well, and one of the least expensive rooms I stayed in, and still the best. Definitely felt homier, so great for longer stays. Most of the places in angeles are older, dingier, and a lot more ezpensive. Sorry I forgot to take photos, but they would have looked just like the rest. For some, the bathroom could be bigger or updated, but it was fine for me, especiallly since the place was so great overall. I loved it here.
Hidden Pearl Hotel (Janus Luxury Suites)
3.4/518 Reviews
It's an old, run-down hotel right next to Prime Asia. It is a 3-story hotel and there is no elevator. There is still no one using it, but there is a swimming pool This is a hotel on the first floor. There is also a massage shop at the entrance of the hotel and a 7-Eleven convenience store 3-4 minutes away. Internet in the room is good. There is a small but expensive Korean restaurant across from the hotel. The room is very spacious and comfortable to use, but the air conditioner, bedding, and furniture are outdated rooms. No free water, toothpaste or toothbrush Only towels and soap provided. The biggest drawback, if you get a room on the road side, you can't sleep because it's noisy from the noise of motorcycles and cars.
RedDoorz @ Diamond Spring Hotel Angeles City

Totally fine, but a bit far from the walking street. But 7 Eleven and Jollibee are near from the this hotel. So no concern the food.
