"Positives: Nice room, good evening meal, fabulous breakfast. Negatives: Having to wait for our room even though we arrived after 4pm and then, as soon, as we closed the door and started unpacking, having a manager knocking on our door asking us how early we were leaving in the morning as workmen were arriving! Which didn't make us feel very welcome!"

Ibis Styles Angers Centre Gare

"This was a one night stopover on a cycle trip through France. Considering Angers is on the Loire where there are so many cyclists this hotel seemed to be completely unprepared for cyclists- storage was on a landing down about 6 steps which was hard work with the ebike. Charging ( as the battery does not come out) was only allowed for two hours- I had to argue for that- in the reception area; and I don't think that they were particularly happy with that. Room like a normal Ibis and breakfast included in the rate was fine. I think in retrospect we would have been better off staying in the small 3* hotel round the corner which said "accueil velos ". "

"awful hotel. 4 stars??? not a chance. tired interiors - a delicate aroma of stale carpets and dirt. do not stay here. i stood at the front desk for 10minutes to ask receptionist about my room before she decided to end her personal call and ask what i wanted. Sums this place up."

"We stayed for 5 nights thinking there would be plenty to do with the pool, lake and city to explore. The pool was decent however the lake is not good for swimming, very swampy and very restricted. The city is also not the greatest place to visit. The campsite is ok however our pitch had cigarette butts all over it. Food is very limited and the bar expensive. Shower blocks are good and clean. Staff ok but could be a lot friendlier. I think a decent place for a stop over but wouldn't recommend a longer stay."
