Aldemar Knossos Royal

A La Carte Restaurant was amazing! Everything was perfect- the food, the service, the ambiance... I went here with friends and we shared several dishes. Everything was delicious. I would highly recommend this place for anyone staying at the hotel or visiting Heraklion. I can't wait to come back.

The hotel has very nice facilities! The staff was friendly and supportive to all our needs. Very tasty food especially at the a la carte restaurants of the hotel! Highly recommended and I definitely want to visit Crete and the hotel next year again as they made my vacation special!

This is my second holidat in Crete and this hotel is one I will return to. Very happy with my experience at Knossos Royal. Great value for money, very nice room, and super friendly staff. Also very easy to reach from the airport. Definitely recommended for family vacations!

We had a luck to stay at those villas. They are located in the sea front and have spectacular views over the sea shore. We could enjoy the best sunsets of our life. The hotel offers nice choice of restaurants and you can taste local cuisine at Artemis restaurants and gourmet at Fontana Amorosa. There are lots of families with children, but those villas are in a quiet part of the hotel and we could enjoy the tranquility.

I celebrated a significant birthday on a 7 night stay with a large group of friends and relatives (17 people in total, 13 x aged young 50+ and 4 x aged 20 somethings) at Aldemar Knossos Royal and it was the perfect place. I made contact with Mr Ilias Papadomickelakis, the Guest relationships manager prior to travelling to ensure they would be able to accommodate my group, as I know it is not always easy to accommodate large groups and also to allow us to dine together for my birthday and on another few evenings. Ilias was so helpful and accommodating and he assured me that he would try to accommodate us as much as possible. I asked if the restaurants offered a good range of gluten free meal options as myself and 3 other members of my party had coeliac disease and required gluten free meals. I also requested a gluten free birthday cake and was prepared to pay for it if necessary. I was assured that there would be a good range of gluten free meal options in all the restaurants and that was me experience during the holiday. I was provide with a gluten free cake for my actual birthday celebration and we were allocated a section of the Artemis (Greek Taverna) restaurant for my birthday celebration. I wanted advise and suggestions on how I could pre-arrange a day excursion/trip with my group, so we could all get out the resort and have a fun activity together and Ilias suggested a local tour operator and put me in contact with Fivos Travel who arrange a site seeing late morning tour of the Minoan Palace and an afternoon sailing on a yacht with lunch. The tour was not to everyone's taste as it felt a little too long but everyone really enjoyed the yacht and the crew was absolutely great and the food they prepared was really delicious. Everyone really loved the resort even a member of my party who had mobility difficulties and was initially worried about taking the trip with me, but she was picked up and transported to all the restaurants and other areas in the resort as required on the golf buggies which was also available to anyone else if requested. I particularly enjoyed the sense of space, as nowhere felt crowded, there was several pools, so there was always sunbeds available and each accommodation area had its own assigned pool as well as the 2 main pool areas. My room was a ground floor sea front room with beautiful sea views and it was amazing. We were initially offered a first floor room in the same block but the balcony was tiny and the ground floor room which I had originally requested had a large patio and it was much better for us. I would like to thank Ilias and all the staff at Aldemar Knossos who took care of me and my group and made my special birthday celebration such a great occasion and left us with such fond memories. Thanks again.

We absolutely loved everything about the hotel, its surroundings and the wonderful team of management and staff. We have already booked again for next year !!! Special praise and appreciation for the reception and bar staff. Thank you too to Elena for being the captain of a fine ship 🤗

We were able to spend a week at the Aldemar Knossos Royal in September. The hotel complex is beautifully designed and very clean. We had a double room on the upper floor with a sea view in the middle part of the complex. The room and especially the balcony were unfortunately rather small for the price but otherwise functional and clean. Unfortunately, the minibar was never refilled and we didn't receive any coffee capsules for the coffee machine. However, we received a snack in our room on the day of arrival without any special order or questions because we only arrived after 10 p.m. and the buffet restaurant was already closed. The sea view from the balcony was wonderful and worth the extra charge. The restaurants are excellent, the buffet restaurant offers something for every taste and has a huge selection of freshly prepared dishes. Particularly noteworthy is the daily selection of freshly sliced fruits. We visited 3 of the 4 specialty restaurants, all of which are highly recommended, especially the gourmet restaurant right on the beach is a highlight. The service in all restaurants was always very friendly and accommodating. In the evening the hotel offers various entertainment options, we preferred to end the evening comfortably at the beach bar. Particularly noteworthy are the bartenders at the beach bar; they are extremely friendly and happy to give recommendations for drinks. The beach is very clean and there are enough loungers for everyone. Unfortunately it was often windy and we couldn't get into the water on a few days. But if you could get into the water, it was pleasantly warm and extremely clear. The sand is rather co**** but not unpleasant. The sea itself is rocky but you still don't need bathing shoes, the rocks aren't slippery and aren't angular or sharp, but quite pleasant. We would book at Aldemar Knossos Royal again in a heartbeat!

Everything was excellent !! Our sea front room with sharing pool was a perfect choice ! Food and beverage departments with friendly and efficient service ! Credits to Fontana Amorosa restaurant ! Reception always trying to fulfill all our wishes ! Management team present all over the hotel to make sure that guests are happy ! We will be definitely come back !!!!
