Fantastic venue for family gathering in this iconic historical place. The wedding suite was amazing .All the family rooms were brilliant. We were looked after by Margaret who was totally amazing. Margaret was like an additional family member brilliant sense of humour and so helpful ( can’t wait to see you again next year) Unless you bought your camper van. Another mention to Paul who looked after our reception and was helpful in making our day special. All the staff were friendly and attentive during our stay. I would definitely say to anyone thinking of using this venue “Book it now” .Wedding photos were exceptional piper Craig was amazing and church was brilliant small but intimate . Thanks to Sandy for a beautiful service.

We had a one night stay for my birthday . We love to stay in characterful properties and wow Springkell didn't disappoint . We had an amazing stay .We booked the honeymoon suite which was extremely good value for money, warm, comfortable, stylish and very very tranquil. The bathroom was amazing with a deep fantastic freestanding bath. There was all the added extras of a 5 star hotel. The staff were very welcoming and went the extra mile, the grounds are lovely and we walked to the church which was a lovely walk beside the stream. The food was excellent with fresh quality produce, we had a lovely bottle of Albarino from a great wine list. The breakfast was superb and generous. We felt like we were staying in a beautiful National Trust House. Well done everyone at Springkell and I'm sure you will continue to be very successful and it is an amazing place for a wedding

This is a 5 star stay at a wonderful quiet home from home. This is my second stay at this guest house and won’t be my last. Ideally situated for those travelling North or South as it’s just off the M74 or to explore this beautiful area. The guest house is in a very quiet village 6 miles from Annan so plenty of options to eat out. The hostess Alison couldn’t have done more to ensure that our stay was so welcoming. With a licensed residents bar and comfy seating it’s a really relaxing stay and a real home from home. The breakfast is fantastic with so many tasty treats to choose from. Beware you won’t need lunch! Our stay was nothing short of exceptional and congratulations to the owner Alison who has worked so hard to refurbish her rooms to such an exceptional standard.

The hotel room is decorated like a KTV. The location of the hotel is very remote. It does not go into the city. The road to the hotel is blocked by traffic and causes a tire blowout. The road to the hotel is really difficult. The service staff at the hotel are very enthusiastic. The breakfast at the hotel is average. It is generally not recommended to book if you don’t have a car. It is expensive and inconvenient. My friend insisted on making a reservation, but had no choice. Anyway, the way to the hotel felt like driving into a forest. There was no one on the way and the trees were all gloomy. It was difficult to get in. The hotel didn't look like a castle to me, it just kind of looked like it. Not great value for money, other things are fine. The hotel room is really big in the UK. It also has a bathtub and a big toilet. However, the decoration is hard to say like a KTV. It is too big and looks a bit scary. The lobby looks okay during the day, and the hotel entrance is also good. It’s really scary at night~
