I booked a Deluxe Queen Room with a window, expecting a normal exterior window with natural light. Instead, I was given a room facing an interior corridor with no sunshine and very little privacy. When I asked about it, I was told that because I was staying six nights, which was too long! I could not have a room with a real exterior window. That explanation did not make sense to me, since I booked and paid for a room with a window.
I was also told that I could not use the swimming pool and fitness center unless I upgraded to a Business Room on the ninth floor. These facilities were listed on the hotel’s website, and there was no mention that they were limited to certain room types. After some back and forth, I was finally given access, but it should not have required an argument.
The service at the front desk was also disappointing. The girl who assisted me was impatient and not very willing to listen to my concerns. A more friendly and helpful attitude would have made a big difference.
On top of that, the hotel was very noisy. There were events and karaoke that could be heard clearly from my room. I could also hear voices from the room next door, which made it hard to relax.
Overall, the stay did not meet my expectations, especially regarding the room, access to facilities, and noise level. I hope the hotel can improve these areas for future guests.
