We stayed at RDP hotel on two occasions during our trip. The biggest advantage is the proximity to the airport. Just ten minutes away which can be a huge advantage in horrendous Tana traffic. They provide shuttle to and from, but beware that you may have to wait for other guests. We arrived after a long flight from CDG and were out within fifteen minutes but then had wait for nearly 45 minutes for other hotel guests to arrive. Same on the way out and can get delayed if other guests are not punctual. They were happy to store our bags when we flew to Masoala and Morondava. The rooms are generally fine, can be a bit dark. Spacious, good firm bed and pillows, WIFI works well and good shower pressure. Could do with more coffee sachets. Toilet small but there is nice large bathroom and vanity area with double basins. Breakfast spread is excellent. Various types of breads, cereals, cold cuts fruits and freshly made eggs. Decent coffee. The restaurant decor is ethnic and very pleasing. The lunch and dinner menu, especially for the vegetarians are not that great. The veg lasagna was bad, the supposedly spicy Indian dish Vindaloo with chick peas was bland. My pulled pork and Chicken were average , for the price we paid. The staff are generally friendly although they seem to hang on forever for tips. Checkout can be busy. The pool looked inviting although we did not get in. Overall, recommended for short stays close to the airport.
