To be honest, I was very dissatisfied at first. I stayed in one of those small county guesthouses in China. After I settled in, I felt that it was okay, but there was no shampoo or shower gel, no slippers, and I couldn't wash clothes.

We were marooned in Anuradhapura during the 2025 Cyclone. Due to floods we had to leave the hotel we were staying at and we could get no further, very lucky for us, the last water way we could not cross was just near the Green View. We had no idea of the quality of the hotel we just walked in and asked for a room. They were EXCELLENT! Despite there being a room shortage in Anuradhapura they gave us the room at a discount - without our asking. Very nice of them It was clear we were stuck in the floods and they wanted to help. They offered us rooms on the 3rd floor so we would feel safe. For two nights were stayed here till the Kurunagala bridge opened. The best place we could have found. We had electricity all the time as they kept the generator on auto on - the rest of the country had spent many hours and days with no electricity. It was excellent service. They gave us good food , in the best way possible. All teh staff were very nice and helpful. The owner came by to see if the hotel was ok. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for making our cyclone experince so safe and pleasant.

Returned home last night after a 3 day stay at Green View Resort. We enjoyed the stay. Among the plusses are the excellent service with all smiles offered by the Manager, Ranatunge & his staff, Sanjeewa & Dinesh. The hotel uses the services of Rasika who his own tuk & we were taken to all the historical places which are actually quite nearby to this location. Rasika's fee was very reasonable. The food offered by this resort was pricey but really yummy! Do not forget to place your order for meals well in advance since they don't do short notice. The rooms & linen were very clean. The view, excellent. The pool was small & cute. Very clean with a lovely view & private. On the flip side, I woud advice the management to seriously consider payments though credit cards. Otherwise, one has to carry loads of cash(not adviceable in the present day)if you wish to stay more than one day. The room we stayed in (208)did not have the best of Air Conditioning & Wi Fi coverage, Informed Mr. Ranatunge regarding this. All in all, I would certainly visit again for short stays. Please do not miss out on visiting the Wessagiri Caves which are about 200 m walking distance. Absolutely amazing place with so much history!!!

This is a small budget hotel with few rooms. Rooms are spacious enough and also clean and cosy. Some rooms have a balcony with paddy-field view. This hotel is close to main religious sites in Anuradhapura. However cannot agree with the price of their meals as this goes in the budget category. Meals are average but they separately charge for water and even charge for their service which is insane!! Will definitely go back but never will order any meals from them as their are plenty of nice restaurants nearby...
