This hotel is really good, their staff is nice, and their is apple juice on every floor, I enjoy my living here

Richmond Hotel Aomori stands as a reliable business hotel in downtown Aomori City. Located just 5 minutes on foot from JR Aomori Station, it offers convenient access to both transportation and city attractions.

Liked this hotel for the following 1) very clean 2) the room type we booked is one of the biggest hence we enjoyed the room very much 3) netflix! 4) comfortable bed and duvet 5) complimentary tea and water at dispenser near lift of each floor The things we didnt enjoy too much 1) distance from Aomori station. 25 mins walk. 5mins by bus 2) toilet is rather small though we got used to it

The room cleaning service can further improved as the bed is not properly done

Spacious and clean room

A great hotel and excellent value. Good amenities and restaurant m. Some good bars and restaurants nearby but quite a walk from the station so better if you are driving into the area. All great until a taxi was required which was going to be a while so we were left to it. Wouldn’t have worried except the trains had also been suspended due to the weather. Thank goodness good old Uber worked or we would have been stranded!

The only issue we had was communication. But it was still better than a lot of other hotels we stayed in

The hotel facility is relatively good. However, the booking system is a problem! At Richmond Hotel Akita Ekimae, when we checked in at 7pm, the receptionist said our booking was for 23:30~05:00 check-in time. Check-in other than this period will require a surcharge of Yen $2000. How would anyone expect on a regular booking that the check-in time would be in the midnight?! Ok, since we "overlook", we paid. However, 2 days later when we checked in the same brand name hotel at Aomori (Richmond Hotel Aomori), the receptionist asked us if we need a smoking or non-smoking room. I told them I booked for non-smoking room. They said their system didn't show that, and they didn't have a non-smoking room now; if we need that, an additional charge of Yen $2000 is required. What?!!!!! 1) If you don't have a non-smoking room, why ask if we need one when we check-in? 2) Isn't a non-smoking room should be at a non-smoking floor? If you have one, we should be given one when we asked for it. If you don't have one, how would you make one when we pay the extra charge?

This is the 2nd time I stay at Richmond at Aomori and 3rd time I stay in a Richmond hotel in as many trips to Japan. Although they do not have the best locations, as in within 5 mins walk from train station, they make up with their very good spread of breakfast. This is something I look forward to every time I stay at Richmond.

Excellent service! Great location.

This is one of my favorite hotels i. Aomori prefecture. Staff is great. People are friendly. Location is perfect and indoor parking is the “ heat”!
