Also special shout out to my family’s favorite Palmebangnese Restaurant, it is a homey restaurant serving delicacies from Palembang, South Sumatra such as the famous Pempek, creamy and delicious Mie Celor, and fresh and sweet Red Bean Shaved Ice. You forgot to bring a toothbrush or toothpaste? You want to cook yourself a tasty meal or treat yourself fresh fruits? Worry not, there is Indomaret Fresh, convenience store that offers not only daily necessities but also fresh vegetables and fruits. Just across the complex there’s also the famous Mr. DIY store, a store that sells cheap EVERYTHING, from sunglasses to hardware I guarantee you can find at that store. With just less than 20 minutes you can reach Bekasi CBD, Summarecon Bekasi, there you can find the biggest mall in the city, branded stores, from fashion to tech to delicious food and even luxurious IMAX Cinema is available, you can also enjoy a lively night in the Al Fresco area of Summarecon Mall Bekasi. In alternative, if you want to find a hipper area, you can go to Grand Galaxy Park Mall and the area around, from trendy cafes to food stalls are available in just a 5km car ride. There are plenty of malls around the area, some on the top of my head are Grand Metropolitan, Mega Bekasi (with Lulu Hypermarket that sells imported goods), Revo Town, Bekasi Cyberpark, and many more!
