Hotel near Karasuma,Kyoto
Rest collection Gion-Shijo Kyoto provides accommodations within 1.1 miles of the center of Kyoto, with free Wifi and a kitchenette with a microwave, a stovetop, and kitchenware. This apartment offers air-conditioned accommodations with a balcony. Sanjusangen-do Temple is 1.3 miles away, and Kyoto International Manga Museum is 1.2 miles from the apartment. At the apartment complex, the units come with a wardrobe. There's a private bathroom with bath in every unit, along with slippers, a hair dryer, and free toiletries. At the apartment complex, every unit has bed linen and towels. Popular points of interest near the apartment include Gion Shijo Station, Samurai Kembu Kyoto, and Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall. Itami Airport is 29 miles away.

"This was a great guesthouse. The room was clean and well-equipped, although a knife was missing. I particularly appreciated the wet/dry separation in the bathroom. However, there was no drying rack, which was a minor disappointment given the Chinese custom of not leaving clothes outside overnight. Also, there were too few hangers; in the summer heat, changing clothes twice a day, they were simply inadequate. Its location near Tenkachaya Station (Sakaisuji Line and Nankai Line) is excellent, with a large supermarket just 50 meters away. This is perfect if you enjoy sushi, fresh seafood, wagyu beef, etc., and want to cook your own dinner; it's very economical and satisfying. While getting around is very convenient, the sole downside is its direct proximity to an elevated subway line. Trains whiz by every two minutes from 4:30 AM until midnight. Consequently, I would not recommend it for light sleepers or those with sleep disorders, as you might find yourself disturbed throughout the night."

Amazing
GGuest UserWith our family of five down the mountain near the hotel price is too expensive, we accidentally found this room type, room is large, the price is close to the people, suitable for us. To reach the front desk and room, you need to climb the stairs (may be a remodeled old building, but very Japanese style). Since we drive by ourselves, we need to walk for3-5 minutes from the free parking space, but the luggage is large (next to Hankyu Busan Station), the handsome and beautiful staff are very dedicated to helping with the luggage to the room, and the Lobby puts a lot of Busan tourism information, (just happened to be summer festival, there are also Japanese nostalgic traditional gadgets for passengers. Overall, the hotel is close to the residential house but the room is very large and you can see the mountain. The environment is very comfortable and quiet. The handsome and beautiful staff wrote the thank you card before leaving the store, which made us feel sweet.

GGuest UserThis hotel is perfect for family trips. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the location is very convenient. The only downside is that rooms facing the street can be a bit noisy. It would be great if Ctrip allowed requests for non-street-facing rooms when booking.

GGuest UserOur family arrived in Kyoto very late and completed check-in at around 1:00 a.m. The self check-in system was clear and efficient, and remote staff support responded promptly to ensure we settled in without difficulty. The residence was clean, quiet, and well equipped, which suited traveling with children who needed a comfortable space after long days. The location proved to be the property’s strongest asset. Being close to Higashi Hongan-ji Temple and within walking distance to Kyoto Station allowed easy access to buses and major rail lines. The surrounding neighborhood felt safe and community oriented, with convenience stores and local restaurants nearby, giving us an authentic urban-local experience rather than a purely tourist enclave. After checkout, the hotel kindly permitted luggage storage, providing valuable flexibility for our final day itinerary. This practical policy demonstrated understanding of traveler needs and enhanced our time management. Overall, Stay Sakura Kyoto Higashi Hongan-jiⅠ offers an affordable, family-friendly base with reliable operational support and strategic accessibility, and we would recommend it to visitors seeking comfort near Kyoto’s cultural landmarks.

EEdxxTHIGHLY Recommended, never regret and had a excellent experience. First easy access to check in reception, just next to Kyoto Station (<5mins walk). Friendly customer service, not language barrier and able to communicate. Check-in was fast (need registered to their portal prior to arrival) and instructions to Resi stay was clear and given in hard copy. Provided luggages deposit for us to walk around the area before we check-in to the stay. Nearby alot for eateries and after lunch walked back to reception. Shuttle service to the stay were provided as well. The room was spacious, clean and all equipment are provided within the room. Great stay located at a great location, it's near (14mins walk/7min taxi) to kyoto station. There are 3x convenient store nearby, walking distance to Kyoto Aquarium and 20m to bus stop to many locations. Definitely coming back again, happy stay🤗

YYuki 2024The room was relatively clean, but it was only on the first day of stay. Because there was no service for many days afterwards. The location was quite inconvenient. I thought it would be more convenient around the residential area, but in fact, the surrounding area was like a maze, with few people and no big supermarkets. It was very far from the subway station, and it took about ten minutes to walk to the bus station and cross a big road, which was very inconvenient. When you check in, you will be sent to the hotel, which is actually a small building with several floors (they have many stores in Kyoto, but there is only one front desk, and one person can speak Chinese. I don’t know if it is from Taiwan). When you leave the store, you can walk to the subway with your big suitcase. Next time, I will stay in a place with convenient transportation. . I booked this place because I thought it had a big bed and could cook. This is true. It is very convenient to cook, and all the necessary pots and utensils are available. But it is not worth spending time on cooking. In short, the room rate is so expensive, and the location is the first priority. I really don’t recommend it.

GGuest UserThe overall facilities and room size were excellent, making it perfect for a family of three. When staying here, I highly recommend using public buses for transportation, as the subway station is quite a distance away and very inconvenient. Now, for the main points of concern: service is practically non-existent. The front desk staff appear to be international students studying in Kyoto, and their English comes with a variety of regional accents. If your English listening comprehension isn't top-notch, you might find communication a bit challenging. Regarding dining, the immediate vicinity offers mostly small izakayas or tiny fried food stalls, which weren't really to my taste. There's a convenience store within 300 meters, but it's nothing out of the ordinary. However, if you take a bus heading west, you'll find a larger supermarket where you can buy fresh ingredients to cook in your room, offering great value for money. Overall, if you're not reliant on subway access and don't prioritize extensive hotel service, then I highly recommend this place.

TTricia MesinaWe had a great stay! The location is good, walking distance to Yasaka Shrine, Maruyama Park and Gion district. Lots of convenience store and restaurants nearby and there is also a 24 hr supermarket. It is near the bus stop where lots of Kyoto buses pass by. The place itself was clean and huge compared to other hotels. There is a separate kitchen and bathroom area with a tub. The bedroom is huge and we could unfold our luggage and still have enough space to walk around. They have provided a clothes drying rack and washing machine with detergent. There is drip coffee provided and some tea. Highly recommended if you want to stay in Gion district and walk around the Higashiyama area in Kyoto! There are lots to do around and a lot of temples within walking distance.

VVeldaThis time I chose an apartment-style hotel, which is about a 1-minute walk from Exit 3 of Marutamachi Station on the Karasuma Line and a 2-3-minute walk from the Kinkakuji/Kiyomizu-dera bus stop. It is very convenient to reach various attractions. There are FamilyMart, 7-11, McDonald's, and supermarkets nearby. The room is spacious 👍, with kitchen utensils, oven, microwave, washer and dryer, electronic scale...all available. There is a large table in the room, which is a place where our family of five can go home every day to have late night snacks without being crowded. The teenagers enjoyed their stay very much and will choose this place again next time they visit Kyoto👍.

CCeres NgWe stayed at Connect Inn Gion and overall felt the price and location were excellent. The area is very convenient and easy to walk around. Do note that the building and room PIN codes are only sent after 3pm. For my booking (through Trip.com), I only received the PIN after I asked for it. They will also check what time you are arriving to collect the hotel tax. The room is not squeaky clean, but for the price it is still acceptable. I did notice the bath tub water looked slightly cloudy compared to the water from the basin, which I noticed when using my own transparent cup. Amenities like toothbrush and cotton pads are provided. There is also a small kitchenette with cups, plates, and basic utensils. The room I stayed in (302) had 3 beds and 1 futon, and the beds have rollers so you can combine them. On the second day, my door did not auto-lock, but I called the property through the Trip.com app and it was resolved. There is also a free washing machine and dryer on the first floor, shared by all guests. It’s a bit old, but still usable. Overall, the place is slightly run-down, but the great price and perfect location make up for it. We still enjoyed our stay.

GGuest UserIt’s a 15-20 minute walk from Kyoto station in a pretty dark alley. The place was very clean when we arrived. There nobody at the counter and we checked in late around 8pm. The staff were kind enough to email us the pass code to our rooms and allow us to check in pass the usual operating hours. We were in Kyoto for 4 nights. The location is convenient and it was clean when we checked in however the room wasn’t cleaned on a daily basis, probably only cleaned once before check in. It’s not ok if you’re someone who expects the room to be cleaned everyday or every couple of days, otherwise it’s fine The reception is located around 20-30 min walking distance from the inn(near Kyoto station). we wanted to leave our luggage at the reception for awhile after we check out, so we had to travel down to the reception with our luggage after checking out. We had our luggage transferred from Narita airport to the the inn. We had to email the staff for assistance as the reception is not located at inn. We overall had a good experience but do take note of the cons if your schedule/requirements are not as flexible. Staff replied to my emails very quickly and were very friendly and flexible.
