The hotel is a modern hotel with large rooms, light and comfortable. It is recommended because it is near the airport, if you have to stay**** one night do not hesitate to choose this hotel.

A lot of noise, from traffic to night, you still don't sleep or rest. The hotel is very good. They must rectify that, otherwise it is a nightmare.

Due to price and proximity to the airport, I chose to stay here for a night while waiting for my flight back to the USA. Why due to price, might you ask? Well, doesn’t 63 USD sound amazing, especially since neighboring hotels were selling in the hundreds that same night? I tried booking that young-adult discount rate online prior to arriving at the property, which I knew was only available for purchase on the official hotel site but assumed I could easily get at the check-in counter as well. The site was down or not accepting my bank account for whatever reason, even after clearing all fraud protection freezes and things like that. Please know that when I say the following, I’m not putting direct blame on the individual staff members at Stay Hotel Porto Airport. I’m putting blame on the larger system. BUT it still needs to be said. I wish the staff could have quickly given me the $63 rate at the check-in counter, KNOWING I was having trouble with the website/app and should’ve been entitled to it with a better payment method. By the time I tried and tried and tried to get the rate to go through, the $63 rate had expired and the next best option was for $81, still exclusive to the app. And sure enough, know what happened when I tried paying for the $81? Still no luck. When the clock struck midnight, all hope was lost for a cheaper rate—the app reset its prices to the next night, and I had to pay a rate of around $100 at the counter to get a room right then. A valid argument could be to ask why I’m this picky about the prices, since when viewing it macroscopically, the differences aren’t that extreme. But I was traveling on a VERY tight budget. Every little amount counts a ton. And being at the end of my trip, my finances were in jeopardy more than they’d been at any other point in Europe. So I lost out on 40 bucks, which adjusted for non-backpacker inflation is 400 bucks. Or more. The last thing I’m going to add to the unfortunate pricing situation is one where I feel arguably the most disappointed about. Yes it’s apparently company rules not to book rates over the counter that are supposed to be booked online. But I didn’t feel that sense of sympathy or apology from either of the two employees at the desk. They were kind and friendly enough, which was expected—but when something goes wrong out of the customer’s control, I also expect clear, explicit concern and care to be verbalized. I don’t think they really “cared” that I missed out on a cheap rate because their company’s app payment portal malfunctioned. One of the ladies even told me (when I asked if this was a common issue with foreigners) that this scenario occurs roughly once each WEEK, which she labeled as not very common…but I beg to differ. I’m not saying they should fix the app issue…but they should’ve given me something like an apology. The spacious rooms, and very friendly and careful staff, relatively average cleaning, and at the level of breakfast quality very bad. Not quality, it is very expensive for what they offer to customers, I have visited the hotel before and continues in it, even at the level of the parking park that I have been going to the north for more than 2 years I am once in this hotel for reasons of I am working and continues.

All came different from planned. Initially Famalicao was planned to be the centre of football games and the surrounding cities like Braga, Barcelos or Guimaraes, as well as the Douro Valley, at the end I spent a week with Corona in this hotel. Here I can very much praise the hotel staff who could give me good recommendations for pharmacies and testing sites. Fortunately, there is a large supermarket next to the hotel. The hotel is located directly opposite the football stadium of FC Famalicao. I could look directly from the room to the stadium. The hotel is still very new and the rooms were excellently isolated to the walk and the neighbouring rooms, a huge quality feature in my opinion. The bathroom was also very modern with rainforest shower. Unfortunately, breakfast (which can be taken normally in Portugal because of lack of isolation) did not convince me. There was exactly the same every day, but fortunately I didn't have so much hunger. Free tea or coffee can be taken all day at the tea bar.

It's a great hotel and feels and looks new. Everything is very clean from the reception, corridors, room, breakfast area. The room was very good (and quiet!!) Comfortable bed, heated, a good shower/toilet with everything needed. Fast WiFi. The breakfast is awesome and well worth the asking price. You have everything there, the breakfast area itself it's very bright with outdoor seating. The staff is very smiling. Check out until noon. Close to train station and the center of the city in a quiet area..Perfect. If again in this area this is my place. Thanks a lot.. good value · This is very very niche... but maybe can you put an extra coffe capsule for the espresso machine in the room and turn off the sound in the TV in breakfast area? It's more a suggestions than complaints. The room was 9,5/10 could be 10/10 if it had a mini-fridge...

What a wonderful week we had, returning again to the charming and friendly Bagoeira Hotel. We’ve been visiting for nearly 20 years, having found it by chance on a road trip through the north of Spain and Portugal. Now, we tend to take the easy flight to Porto and the hire a car for the 40 minute drive. Together with its excellent restaurant this modern and comfortable hotel, with its friendly and professional staff, offers an oasis of calm. It’s at the heart of Barcelos, by the large market area, which hosts one of the largest European markets every Thursday. The restaurant offers excellent traditional Minho food. As for most of Portugal, half portions are usually large enough. A large wine list, with a very good range of ports accompanies the a la carte and special daily dishes menus. Now Covid has gone, we shall be back more often to meet our Bagoeira friends again! David and Joan

Very clean rooms, helpful staff and good food, the hotel os just outside the main town but is a pleasant short walk in beside the sea. Pool was small but not overcrowded and bar staff friendly and attentive. We had an inside room overlooking the pool and were not disturbed at all
